I've heard other stories about usually it is hikers that encounter of feral or neanderthal people, but not feral going to a house and looking into windows. Pretty scary if you ask me. Thanks for the great info Uncle Perry.

My uncle in far Eastern KY purchased a house way back in the woods. Up where he would have an amazing view. Unlike western mountains that have a lot of dirt/top soil on them KY mountains are mostly exposed layers of granite and other stone. My uncle was going to take down the shack on the property. We'll what he considered a shack with dirt floors and an outhouse was a fabulous home to someone he had outbid in the buying process. The mountain side being granite was important because he modeled the new home he built after a Frank Wright house with a river waterfall running under it with the falls coming down outside glass from the first to the third floor where it continues as a stream. It was amazing....till winter when he realized the paved, sometimes gravel, sometimes one 13 foot wide lane, super steep road could not be driven I'm snow of even an inch deep.
My uncle would alll the previous summer see people walk down. And uphill on a trail down from his house. It was not on his property so he never paid attention to the people. When he ran out of food but still could not drive down he decided to walk up the trail to the home he assumed was up their. We'll just before getting to the hill crest where he could see the roof of a home he heard a double barrel shot gun go off and the limbs of the tree over him start dropping. He turned and ran home locking the doors.
From that point on he would see people standing on that trail, sometimes leaning on the trees with guns obviously visible.
The fear made him sale the home he paid 1.2 million building for just $12,000!
The family that shot at him purchased it. They had threatened every sales broker in the county to kill them if anyone else got the property. A year later driving by the house he could see cars abandoned all over and large panels of glass broken out and replaced with wood since a 5,000 dollar glass panel of 10x 30 just was not affordable for that new family.

My untie is a deputy shariff in Monticello KY. There are places in the county that the sheriff and police DO NOT go.
Once they has too in order to arrest a man who while in town getting supplies got in an argument with a security guard and shot him with both barrels of his Mad Max like cut off barrel and arm stock dual barrel shot gun turned mean hand gun.
The police caught up with the beat up pick up as it was heading uphill in an area where the road narrowed to only 12 to 15ft wide so they could not pass. The hill became so steep that the officers car started to bog down and not want to go up any more.
The beat up truck however was the champion of the "Run what ya brung truck and tractor 🚜 pulls at the county fair. The hill Billy's didn't have much but had priorities like putting all the years earnings into a super charger or twin turbos on an old rebuilt Dodge Cuda Hemi dropped into a Chevy square body truck so it pulled away at a good 40 to 60mph on a hill the patrol car is lucky to do 15mph on. So a sting arrest was set up. They went to the family compound that consisted of a mini mart like store just off the road made of wood leaning viably sideways enough you would think it's falling over. Behind it are 15 homes scattered up the hill with the wealthy family members having wood floors windows and doors. The poor of the family and most geneticly changed had dirt and natural granite stone of the mountain being the floors. Wood covers for window openings for winter and curtains for doors room to room with only the front having a door.
Fifteen sheriff deputies, 8 city/town police, 5 state troopers and 8 volunteers 🙋‍♂️ deputies for the day surrounded the family compound with M-16, shot guns and hunting rifles for a shootout that took 18 hours before the family ran out of ammo. They got their man for the murder in town and 6 more for the 3 police killed in the shootout.
Two months later the jury found everyone NOT GUILTY due to fear that the family would take revenge as the family was an off shoot of the McCoys or famed Hatfield and McCoy Appalachian fued fame.
Imagine being on a jury deciding the fate of a mountain man with his cousin sitting in the court room the whole time staring at you. Showing you printed photos of your home, showing you photos of guns held up while bailiffs are not looking.

I’m pretty partial to the Smoky Mountains, since I was born and raised here. There’s Another storyteller from my hometown on RUclips called South force 10. He tells a lot of folklore type stories. When the park rangers first cleared out the national park they had to get rid of the feral population and I’m sure that caused some harsh feelings of revenge. several of the Park Rangers quit after they felt so guilty for killing all those people. You know they didn’t get all of them, and there’s a vast cave system in the oldest mountains in the world.

If i saw and heard someone peering in my windows and hanging my house, You wouldnt see me for dust. No bloody way would i stay there. Your stories are truely fascinating. Why is it everyone complaining about the language all have profiles with similar name formats. First name/last name/ a bunch of numbers. Literal bot type names.
I've watched dozens of channels who talk about this kind of stuff. Literally all of them either have no cussing, bleep out the few curse words, or say them very rarely. It's actually refreshing to hear someone talk like a normal fucking human being.
And for the clowns saying it adds nothing the F bombs are so random and said with such a cadence it's quite hilarious at times.
This is RUclips not PBS kids.
