      Terminal value and scrap value same

    • @kauserwise
      @kauserwise  Год назад

      terminal value normally refers to the value of an asset or entity at the end of an investment period, while residual value, or salvage value, or scrap normally refers to an asset at the end of its useful life.

    If NPV value has a negative value which means ,??

    • @kauserwise
      @kauserwise  2 года назад +1

      Which means reject the project. Because the inflow is lesser than initial investment according to NPV.

  • @freetofly67

    Mam what about the scrap value?I think it is a inflow.🙄

      She has clearly mentioned that, after 5 years she calculated the Present value of 1000 at the PV Factor of the 5th year.

    Xyz is considering the introduction of a new product . It is estimated that profit before depreciation would increase by 120000 each year for first four years and 60000 each for the remaining period an advertisement cost is expected to be incurred in the first year which is not included in the above estimates of profit the cost will be allowed for tax purposes in the first years
    A new plant costing 200000 will be installed for the production of the new product the salvage value of the plant after it's life of 10 years is estimated to be 40000 . A working capital investment of 20000 will be required in installing the plant and a further of 15000 in the following year the company tax rate is 50% and it claims written down value at 33.33% if the company required rate of return is 20% should the company introduce the new product
    Can anyone solve this
