    I believe they may have fixed this issue with newer productions of this gun. I noticed that my trigger bar is completely different from the one you showed, and was alot more similar to your trigger bar solution.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  4 месяца назад +1

      That would be great if they've addressed the issue. Honestly that's sort of thing I like to hear. Unlike my video I did on purchasing this and my Heritage from Rural King, I still have people commenting on that video that the situation has gotten no better.

    I wish GSG made an enhanced magwell that seats the magazine better. The original German MP40 had zero issues with grip ergonomics given the upper magazine was your vertical grip, meanwhile this version is wobbly enough to trigger a malfunction unless you hold it by the magwell, close to where the mag release button is.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  Год назад +1

      Agreed, the way you have to position your hand on the magwell makes accidentally magazine release far too possible.

    • @Loyal69
      @Loyal69 7 месяцев назад +1

      You can add a small magpul 3 slot pic rail under the barrel nut. I believe it's a m5 screw. Also a mapgul moe 2 slot fits the upper sight screw slots perfectly so I can put red dots on it.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  7 месяцев назад

      @Loyal69 I appreciate that additional information. My next area to address with it is the muzzle.

    • @sethmullins8346
      @sethmullins8346 7 месяцев назад +1

      Maybe you could stick electrical tape to the mags to reduce the amount of play there is

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  7 месяцев назад

      @sethmullins8346 That could possibly help, I've used that trick to get 33 round magazines to function well in my Glock 26.

    Awesome, I'm having the same problem with the trigger on the Sig 522. Far too long of a pull on that too.

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  7 месяцев назад +1

      I'm sure they do it as a way to reduce inadvertent trigger pulls on both of these, or at least I would hope that would be the reasoning rather than it just being a design flaw. I've never taken a SIG 522 apart so I'm unsure of the best way to remedy that issue.

    I bought one from atlantic wall blanks but noticed my trigger bar didnt have the empty space on the front end of the bar, but the trigger pull is still much longer than i'd like. I wonder if they changed something so you can't override the "safety feature"

    • @cubedpotatoeshd2479

      Wasted like $35 on the new bar, the original one is actually better very slightly

    • @Alloy211
      @Alloy211  2 года назад

      @@cubedpotatoeshd2479 it's something that I'm not sure I would buy if I had the tools to make in some way. Given each gun maybe a little different. I haven't seen them without the notch but it could be some design feature that was changed either to make replacement of the bar difficult or maybe to increase reliability in some way. With the worse trigger a trade off. That's just speculation on my part. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      I'd have to look up the program and honestly it's been awhile since I burned any and I'm not sure which revision was the ideal one. It's probably either 5.89" or 5.95". As I'm also at work and don't remember which version it was those are the last two I made. Hopefully that helps.

      Unfortunately I haven't been able to get back to working on it much. Life and other projects pushing it to the side. Although I do have two areas I feel can be improved with the MP40P. These being the hammer spring and the firing pin spring. I haven't had a chance to try out any different springs yet thus why I haven't done any videos. The biggest issue with them is actually magazine availability in my opinion. Hopefully this year will be less taxing and I'll be able to get to more projects. Thanks for watching.
