Best video yet Zebra. Well edited, informative and lots of footage of deer. Your videos are becoming better technically and it shows. Really liked it.
Thanks Geoff 👍 to have a video like this one you have to have a great hunt to have tge footage you need to cut out the rubbish. Sometimes all you have is rubbish and that shows in the final edit.
Amazing footage of animals in the wild mate.love your style and patience. Congrats on a ripper of a stag. Thanks for the video. Take it easy.
Thanks for watching and commenting Dennis 👍
Thanks again Zeb for another great watch. I can't wait to get out again.
No worries mate....hope its soon for ya
Awesome stuff mate, nice to see you get rewarded for all your hard work, congrats on a ripper stag🦌🦌
Thanks Keith appreciate it 👍
Love to see it, I picked up a brand new rifle a week before this bloody lockdown started in NSW... Living vicariously mate keep it up
Arrr got to love a new rifle to "play"with . hopefully we can get back to normal one of these days , for everyones sake
Zebra
Amazing video
Many of most of us are living vicariously through your videos sitting In lockdown
Keep the videos coming
I have to agree real value of trophy is what it means to you
keep up the good work
Thanks Ross ..I've been fortunate enough to get out when I can so I've been very lucky! Thanks for your support 👍
As always, great video, thanks for your effort to produce these gems. Well done mate.
Thanks Huey glad you commented 👍
First of all, you both looked very smart in your groovy glasses in the opener, ha. Another quality video with an epic animal. on ya mate!
You like my Berretta glasses ? Anti stick in the eye devices! I copped a stick in the eye the last weekend so opted for prevention over cure. Thanks for your comment and love the feedback 👍
Bloody awesome champion congratulations on the big boy hell of a hunt to remember for a long time
The big ones are few and far between and always make for a great memory. Thanks for commenting Brad
Well done Zebra bloody rough bit of country but the reward was worth it thanks for show and keep them coming.
Thanks Rod glad you enjoyed this one it was a great hunt not just for the stag at the end but also just being up the bush and seeing some great stags for next year. It seems as though each of these hunts are more special these days with the lockdowns being so restrictive for a lot of people.
put in the miles get the smiles.
ripper video . sums up getting into remote country nice work.
Glad you enjoyed it, just getting in there is half the fun!
Amazing effort mate, some serious country and the best way to shoot one. Given his width and how you got him I’d be getting him mounted! As always thank you for carrying the camera. Great piece of work.
Cheers Ben he was impressive to watch unalarmed just doing his thing thats for sure. Certainty had the heart racing
Always great to head into new ground and even better when the plan comes together. Nice work mate.
Cheers mate thanks for the comments and plans that come through are rare but when they do its special 👍
As always awesome genuine vid that’s show’s not just the trophy but the adventure with nasty bush thrown in so show it’s not all cruising keep on keeping it real
Thanks Marti I'm defiantly guilty of leaving out a lot of the sh%t that sometimes happens on these hunts purely because dealing with scrub and steep rocky terrain with a camera in hand is torture.
Ripping video mate thanks so much for taking us along with you.
You know how they say dog owners end up looking like their dogs? Well I reckon you've been hanging around deer so much that your beard is taking on the colour of a sambar tail flag!😆
Looking forward to the next adventure
Haha well so you know I do have a German Wirehair pointer so maybe there's some truth in your statement. Thanks for your support and all your feedback
Awesome result mate. I’m always learning from you. Thanks 🤙🏻
I happy to hear that Ross and thanks for getting on here and making a comment it really helps the video get out there.👍
Great video Zeb. That’s is some awesome country and a great looking Stag. Thanks for sharing with us all.
No worries Shaun thanks for taking the time to leave a comment 👍
Maaaate! That's a ripper stag. Congrats. Definitely worth the effort pushing through the thick scrub to come out heavy. Great vid well done! 🤜💥🤛
Cheers mate 👍 it's never a problem struggling through scrub when you have a big stag strapped to your back 🦌
Great video and big efforts, let's do our best while we still have physical and mental strength so we don't regret in later part of our lives...
👍 no regrets here buddy I've got memories most wish they had! My body will retire well before my mind will because I'll have worn it out Thanks for watching.
Gees mate, don't you know we're in lockdown. We need to live vicariously through you now!!!!!
Sorry mate but I have to coincide with a Olight sale which is a pain but it will hopefully help the channel in the long run.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures can I message you privately re Olight?
@@johnmac6226 yep
Yea they are bloody handy those sling hooks! Can actually glass while having your rifle shouldered and not worry about it slipping off 👌
Absolutely that's another benefit of these sling hooks stops me leaning my rifle against a tree or glassing one handed
Congratulations man that is a ripper stag . Gota love the wide ones . They look grows. That other stag you saw in the arvo with the big inners looks like a really good as well hopefully he gets a few girls and passes on those good genetics. Thanks fore sharing m8 your a bloody legend 🤙
Cheers Emrys 👍 yeah the other stag looks awesome from behind but if you notice when he looks at me he isn't real long? He has already rutted so hopefully all the hinds in that area have a good as genetics as he he does
Well done mate 👌 great stag and smart move passing up the earlier ones, especially that big tops. He'll be a bloody cranker in a couple of years and looks like he'll be pretty safe in there 👌
We can only hope that he can survive 🤞 he's got the genetics and the feed is there so all he needs is time
Your always finding them Zeb, loving your content👍👍👍👍 another fantastic video
Much appreciated Chris. Their out there just have to spend the time in the right areas.
Thanks for sharing mate. Great footage and content. Work hard, results will come.
No worries Shane thanks for ya comments 👍
great wide stag mate, and yes the lyre bird nest was cool, never seen 1 myself
Thanks Robin the lyre bird nest was an awesome find so rare! 👍
zebra the true reward was that lyrebird chick. great hunt lovely stag all the best digger. HONK
Yes it certainly was an interesting find considering how much time Ive spent in the bush to have only ever seen 2 .
Well done Zeb,another great vid.
Thanks Archie
Well done zebra, you earnt that .
I can appreciate your point in hunting
Work hard which builds the ground for satisfying success. I hunt the same way.
Love ya work. Thanks keep up the video's.
Thanks Leigh I appreciate your words👍

Hey Jason that's the go use this as inspiration for yourself to have a go ! There out there just got to put the time in to get one.👍
Awesome work mate as always🤙 congrats 🦌

Glad you enjoyed it...Thanks for your comment
Good stuff mate
Keep us going through the lockdown 👍
Thanks, will do!
Beautiful bud well done keep up the great work love your vids 🤟🍺
Cheers Jim 👍
nice hunt, we have an island with a small population of them here in Florida on public land and are able too apply for the hunt with a special opportunity permit...
Hey mate yeah Ive seen some videos on youtube of Sambar in Florida. Totally different terrain to our country...swamps from memory ? And tree stand style hunting compared to our spot and stalk or bush hunting. Thanks for watching. Can I ask where your from and how you found this channel/video
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures yeah they're stuck on St. Vincent island, just swamps and pine trees here mostly stand hunting. I'm from FL, USA and youtube randomly recommended your video.
@@MrAlpineArcher awesome 👌 what did you think of my video ? I'd like more views from the USA but I think it's hard to compete with the talent in the USA
Congrats mate! Great hunt, thanks for sharing. Always taking tips from ya, I defs need to pack lighter. Cheers
Lighter is the way to go mate 👌 thanks for commenting
Another great video mate awesome stuff, your a stag magnet haha, I get right in there spend time learning areas and always come out the same as going in haha, something I need to change 🧐. Good job love it.👍
Thanks 👍 Jason all I can say is keep trying.....this year has been good to me but if I go back a year or two I can remember having been on 5 pack in hunts so a total of 13 days in the bush and hadn't even seen a stag worth the effort of shooting. Sometimes the sun shines and other time it feels like it will never happen.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures yeah very true man, can’t see them sitting on the couch so always good being out there.👍
@@jase22 how good is it when you can get out there and your just chilling watching deer go about their business 👍
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures yes very true, love watching the couple week old fawns jumping and dancing around, it’s good to be out when we can.
bloody legend, love it! Cheers mate!
Pleasure...thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍
Awesome as always mate!
Thank you! Cheers James
That was amazing best one yet by far ?? Always looking forward to your videos . What camera are you using ?
Thanks for the comment Aa Bo appreciate the feedback. Im using a Nikon P950
Nice work mate. great vid.
Cheers mate thanks for watching
Hey zebra, you and that steep country, must have legs of a mountain goat 🐐. Good job. Did you find youngie ? Did have any luck ?
Legs of a old man mind of a stubborn fool ! Youngy found me actually and yeah he had a good weekend too just no luck with any big deer
Nice head mate grate job
Thanks 👍
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures any time mate
Congratulations mate. Nice mature stag and like the stag around the 12 minute mark. How did Mark go?
Thanks Dennis 👍 the heavy stag is nice but lacks the length to be a real belta so decided to leave him. Mark had a good stag sneak out on him at close range but he had the brunt of the wind on his side but he still saw a few deer for his efforts
Awesome effort and video Zeb! Can I ask what your hiking poles and sleeping bag is? Thanks mate.
Thanks mate for your comment....my poles are Black Diamond Alpine FLZ they are an aluminium pole very robust takes a fair bit to break them. As for my sleeping bag it's a Nemo Kayu 15 fairly lightweight about 950gms lower limit rating is -7 degs so if its going to be cold I have to use my SOL bivvy or else I'll be cold.
Roopa. Worth the wait
Ripper even
Thanks mate hope the suspense wasn't too much ?
Haha he was a ripper ;)
As always awesome video. How'd your mate go.thanks for sharing.
Cheers Jamie.....Youngy had a good stag give him the slip at close range and he also saw several hinds as well as picked up a pair of casties unfortunately loosing one in transit 😬👍
That's an awesome head.
Yeah I'm pretty happy with him.
Hi again Zebra, what size sea2summit tarp shelter do you use? 3x3 or 2.6x2.? Ive got my cold winter shelter sorted, but chasing some lighter stuff for later on in the year....cheers
Hey Luke it's a 3x3
Thanks mate
Love ya work mate 💪🏻
Much appreciated thanks for the comment and cheers for watching
Awesome hunt well done good effort ah
Thanks 👍 Mike appreciate you taking the time to comment
Hi Zebra, Was wandering what brand of food heating pouch you use in this vid? Do you still recommend them?
Meals ready to eat MRE is the brand made in NZ I'm pretty sure. They have always worked for me.
Cheers Zebra
Great video 👍
Thanks for watching 👍
Hey mate great video just wondering what pack you use? Thanks
Hey Michael I'm using a Hyperlite south west 55L pack.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures thanks mate, do you use that for extended backpack trips too?
@@michaelgillard5116 most I've done is 3 nights but the only thing that increases with more days is food and I feel I'd have plenty of room to add a few more days worth of food
Hey mate love the content been watching your videos for a while now! I’m new too hunting and really want to start getting right into it! Do you have any friendly advice to help me get started? Thanks
Hey Jay thanks for commenting and supporting the channel hope you've subbed? So advice.....a lot of advice in my videos so watch 'em all ;) But seriously I'm pretty good at answering questions on facebook or insta so jump on there and look me up shoot me a message and I'll do my best to help you along.
Just DM’d you on Instagram mate thanks for the reply 👍🏻

Hey big fella, have you sold yourself out to Olight (rubbish)?
Keep it real mate! I subscribe for hunting content. Not a sale's pitch for a garbage, unreliable product like Olight
If the content isn't what you like your welcome to unsubscribe Jaime....I haven't found any reason to not like Olight products though Ill admit I haven't owned them for any length of time. If they turn out to be as you described thats the review they'll get.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures
Unsubscribe I will! Only because you welcomed me to do so
@@jamiesullivan8900 don't threaten someone with a blunt knife mate see ya 😉 👍
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures calm down champ it was no threat! You asked me to unsubscribe to your advertisement and I did. Lol
@@jamiesullivan8900 read my answer again Jamie . I said if "you" don't like the content you have the choice to unsubscribe. Being accused of being a sell out isn't what I'd call constructive on your behalf so what did you want me to say....thanks ?
Hey, just wondering do you take any meat from the stags?
All depends on where I am and who's with me to help. Usually on a remote pack in hunt the answer your looking for is none or just eye fillets. If in a reason distance and vehicle based hunting then the answer is most of the meat comes out even if it's just to feed my dogs. The closer to a vehicle I am the more comes out . This is for stags I don't shoot hinds unless I'm taking all the usable meat.
I was wondering the same thing thanks for the honest answer. Can't say I totally agree with leaving all the meat but understand the pack out nightmare. Each to their own I guess. Enjoying the vids well done.
Great effort well done what a reward f--k the score thats a bull shit system someone came up with 👌🦌
Hey Scott thanks for your comments....Ive always said the trophy is in the eye of the beholder
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures not wrong wouldn’t matter how much the stag scores its the effort plaining sweat and respect that out ways the numbers that someone puts on a the stag to make it a so called trophy
