  • Mr T comes down from the Capital city to hunt Sambar deer in the Vic Highcountry. Despite being out of breath most of the trip Mr T manages to observe dozens of unalarmed deer and just misses out on a mature stag.

    That rumbling sound is the local yowies ripping a few farts that echo down the gully mate😂😂

    I was in there few years back when the big 5.9 earthquake hit. There was a roar up the valley bit like thunder but there was no clouds. Rumblings are small quakes i reckon.

      That's about what I'm thinking to, witnessed a rock dislodge from a cliff this last trip

      Heaps of big rocks fell down...smashing trees etc when 5.9 hit. Mountain moved back and forward about 1foot.

    Hey zeb, great vid mate keep it up, on the rumblings noticed it also about a month ago, was more so during the day, seemed to me like explosions, thought it might of been the adf..

      Thing is I live closer to their bombing range and don't hear it ever ? Could it be because the bush has less background noise ?

      Not sure what date your trip was, but i was in the gatta around 23rd of may for a week and a half, could hear it all day thurs and fri in 2 differnt spots over 10km apart as the crow fly's, ran into some guys from tassie who asked if i knew what it was. It seemed to stop after about 5pm or so, dont think i heard it over the wkend or the following week.
      We could only guess it may have been a quarry or a mine of sobe type, blasting about every 5 mins.
      The weather was so unusually calm and still that you could hear every noise, i did wonder at one point if that may be why i've not heard this before.

    • @ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures
      @ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures  Месяц назад

      @benlaw6826 my thoughts are it can't be a quarry because I live closer to any quarry and don't hear it at home. Must be earthquakes

    Not suggesting earthquakes..but the noise you describe Zeb is the same as what we heard there last July, though there was a reported earthquake at that time….?

      Yeah that's exactly what happened, I ended finding out who they were from a Facebook post. We had a good chat and they had looked for the deer very hard but had some how missed it.

      OK Thanks. Did you need a gunsmith to modify it or is just a straight fit? Did you need the shims?

    • @ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures
      @ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures  2 месяца назад

      @jakeinthebush it comes with a shim kit. No gunsmithing required. I did use a shim ro time it correctly.

    Gday mate , talk about river crossings , I had been crisscrossing a similar river all day , got a slippery rock fell backwards, spine hit a pointy rock
    4 broken vertebrae
    Rescue team involved getting me out
    I still hunt Sambar , but it’s disappointing to see a Hind shot and left ( not ethical )

    • @ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures
      @ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures  2 месяца назад

      Wow that must have hurt ! The hind wasn't recovered but not from a lack of effort looking for it. The hunter sent me a screen shot of their gps track looking for it. They tried hard to find her. Must have just walked past a couple times and never spotted her
