From director Andrew Haigh. One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.
Cast: Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Jamie Bell, and Claire Foy

The second the song started, i gasped and sighed in pure ecstacy
The best and most hones LGBT film made in over 10 years. Andrew Scott deserves an Oscar nomination.
Both Andrews (Scott and Haigh) need to be frontrunners in their respective categories (Actor and Adapted Screenplay).
Totally agree 😊
Sadly no nominations for them or the film at all...
@@fajarzakri4936 wow 🙁
100% Agree. We need more films like this. Powerfully beautiful and brilliant.
This scene and Blur’s song background.just perfection.✨
Blur?
@@nedharris yes “Death of a party” by Blur
@@craigdorsey1293 oh, ok
INCREDIBLE! Everything about it is so haunting, sweet yet sinister, and that look on their faces as everything goes slo-mo.
I cried again seeing it second time today 🥴

@@lukess.sthere’s some theories that adam died once he did the ketamine
@@catlover69286yes but *SPOILER*
Harry died way before that, so the ketamine Adam took was probably not real. The clothes in his death scene was exactly the same clothes in which he went down to talk to Adam drunk and alone that first time. 😞
i'm not the same person after seeing this film!!!
Guys, you should check that scene from Laurence Anyways in a club playing "Funeral Party" of the Cure. It reminds me of this.
The RVT!
Royal Vauxhall Tavern?
we need more men kissing to blur!!!
no we dont
Agreed!
Please Yeees
@@novakgoatovicfootball pfp of course 😭
I'll share my theory about the movie with you happily. I'll bet you anything that this film is about the romance between Mark O'Toole and Paul Rutherford during Frankie Goes To Hollywood days. When Rutherford was unhappy about being cast as second fiddle to Holly Johnson, who he always detest and O'Toole, who was in the closet shared that feeling so they found each other very quickly. You can see in the old footages that they were very fond of each other and only cared about each other. Which wouldn't have been a problem, but they were very unprofessional even during concerts and TV appearances because they couldn't control themselves. I think their behaviour must have been very disturbing for Holly and led him to quit and the split of the band. I think they're still in a relationship with the blessing of Mark and Paul's 'partners', who I think appear as Adam's parents in the movie.
It's just a ghost story dude
Mark O'Toole was in the closet??
@@lukess.s Think outside the box. In the film, FGTH is featured several times and not only with the song, but also with the poster on the wall. I think Adam's parents and his lover only appear as ghost to make Rutherford's or O'Toole's character not so easily recognizable, but they can show his relationship with them. I think their partners who may just be good friends of them and helped keep their relationship a secret are apperar in Adam's parents. Their main purpose I think was to show how they fell in love and how intimate and sensual their relationship was no matter what frames they put their story in. By the way, the actors are the spitting images of Mark and Paul, and anyone who saw them together in the old footages must have seen that they were inseparable, crazy about each other. Clarie Foy, who plays the mother, looks like Mark's "wife". I think the end of the film means that they're still secretly together, that is, one of them is invisible, a ghost in the other's life.
@@pawdaw I don't know, it seemed to me that his and Paul's relationship was an open secret. They were always up each other's asses and half naked cuddling, laughing, trying to be near each other and I think acting unprofessional. I believe they were crazy about each other, but they could have stood for performances and not pretended Holly didn't exist and hurt and humiliated him with their behavior.
@@sarkanysusu2050 I didn't know this. Sort of like Boy George and Jon Moss? Paul was super handsome, we all had crushes on him!
The miracle club is a scary movie from Columbia searchlight pictures.
Was he actually in the nightclub alone taking ketamine or did he dream all of this up at home … I’m still confused 😅
I believe he was so traumatised by his mum andrade death that finding harry dead set him off so much that he created a world of fantasy for him coz the reality was too much for him 😢i believe he has schizophrenia too
Me too!
wrong question 😬
@@amymallon23No, he entered a relationship with Harry without realising he too was a ghost who didn't even realise it himself. He finds his body once he goes to his flat, which he hadn't done up until that point.
😂😊❤🎉😅
You don't understand
this movie was so boring and overhyped , but i still can’t stop thinking about this scene
WORDDDD that saved my watch tbfh
@@marjickmaster1327 and people in the comments talking about how it’s “one of the best LGBTQ+ movies” they’ve ever watched like c’mon now
I knowww like some of the themes that were explored were interesting but overall the plot line was bland as fuck cause it tried to be indie so bad + let's be real I love Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott but they didn't have chemistry at all lol@@melni3445
I dont rlly like books like the one the movie was loosely based on so that might've played a role too
It was ART! Yes, it was one of the best lgdb movies out there
