recently my Mac was getting really hot and the fan was super loud. I soon found out from looking at activity monitor that my notes app wasn't able to close and its energy impact was in the 90's. I force quit the app and immediately my laptop cooled down and the fan went silent.

I have an old version. 10.9.5. This will not work with with my old version. Is there something else I can use to help my mac with this older version?
It became noisy on my macbook air 2015 using the elgato hd60s plus capture card.
My fans have been going non-stop since my Monterey upgrade but it was one application that was driving the fans to distraction. I closed it. Thanks Jonathan!

I got my Mac second hand for school and the first weeks it was flawless and I was so happy since it's my first laptop (got it as a End of highschool/College gift) but all of a sudden during class it started sounding like it was about to explode. It was embarrassing but I only had 2 tabs open on chrome and that's it. Occasionally it does the same fan noise when I have more than 3 tabs open but it's a 2018 and it was a new prestinr condition when bought. Could it be there's something wrong with Chrome?

i tried all that and even Clean my Mac X pro. Didn't work. At times while watching youtube, the screen of imac 27" (2020) would just turn black/ Sign of it melting down. Eventually, one day , it just died. Had to take in to apple store for repair (logicboard died). After the repair, i still get fan noise every now and then, when watching youtube and when downloading youtube video with 4K video downloader / Firefox viedeo downloader extension and with a couple windows opened. Nothing heavy. I don't play games or do any heavy graphics/editing.
The thing is, it hasn’t overheated ever, i’ve cleaned it completely, and it’s jsut blowing cold air.
Dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm you can watch all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last few months xD

My fans made a weird noise so me being me decided to shake my computer then the fans stopped but started again thankfully now the sound went but I’m scared I broke my fans even though they started again should I get them looked at just in case

@@andiatikah8851 nope i never found a solution, but my computer kinda fixed on its own. After a while it stopped going slow but the loud air vent is still on

I have like literally nothing on my laptop *only Roblox and zoom*, do you think replacing the fans will help?
Literally so tired of the excuses for this loud, ridiculous fan. My macpro is over $2600. This machine has been making this noise since it was new, doesn't matter whether tabs closed, macbook is lifted up high, cold out or hot, nothing in my start up files, chrome closed - this machine just does that loud azz noise when I trying to work - edit, use a mic, screen record, etc. Very very annoying. Apple needs to fix this!! I'm tired of trouble shooting such an expensive machine. Nothing works because it is a hardware or software issue straight out of the factory and mac knows it. Far too many people have this problem.
