@@jbbrown7907 raise Finnsheep now. My racing of Standardbreds ended at Saratoga. Between my growing flock and a couple goats( Angora and Nubian) and of course LGDs am pretty happy. Do miss those early morning jogcart rides with the horses that did better with that. Over the years sold a few still good horses to a local Amishman. Along with a few good started dairy heifers too. That small farm helped keep me centered in the racing world. Not many women trainers at the time. That $200 horse was named Flying Ranger. Qualified him at Dover Downs and raced him including once at the Meadowlands before heading back to Vernon NY.
@@scakya1 We have many Mass here in the community. Most notably Henry Mass. He makes buggy wheels for many of the old order buggies in Ohio, PA and NY.
@@jbbrown7907 Wow, not many here in New Mexico. That's a noble art making wheels for those old order buggies. Glad to hear there are those still tradesman active and doing.
Remember buying a $200 dollar Standardbred, getting him sound again and doing alright with that gelding. Those days are past.
I have some days myself that are past.
We are going to raise pigs, something I did first 20+ years when I was younger.
