  • Monster game from Nique here, excelling with both power and grace. Atlanta beat the Jazz in an OT thriller.
I'm still amazed at how nimble Nique was before the achilles tear. You could play 2 centers under the basket and he'd jump through them to score...or DUNK rather.

'Nique was so impressive. His leaping ability, power, hang time, touch for bank shot after bank shot. Truly an amazing player. Great video!

Yeah, Nique's nimbleness combined w/those bionic legs to explode upwards any time he wanted to.. made him so unique + fun to watch. his excellent touch off the glass from most angles was also a cool signature of his game. thx for the post, in fantastic quality at that. young Nique performances are gold to watch.

Nique has an array of shots, outside, post up, turn arounds, bank shots, and to the hoop.

Along with jordan and kobe, one of the most stylish and fun to watch pure scorers in nba history.

To be honest, I think Nique was the MOST PHYSICALLY DOMINANT scoring machine the SF position has ever seen! I really think that's his mark! Lebron FOR SURE had the same physical tools. BUT Nique was more BLOOD THIRSTY dominating scoring the rock. Even though Bron was every bit the scorer. Just saying Nique would get in the teeth of defense off the vertical hops and TOTALLY overpower a defense over the top! What Dr. J did for the SF spot in terms of the one foot dominant freak athletic shit, Nique did the SAME DAMN THING for the vertical hops!
When u factor in his scoring skillset, craftiness, and killer instinct, Nique was FLAT OUT an unstoppable alpha dog scoring machine in his prime. He score MORE CAREER POINTS than any SF in NBA history until Lebron passed him by. For context, Oscar leads the PG's, Kobe leads the SG's, Mailman leads the PF's, and Kareem leads the C's.
That's the LEVEL Nique was on in terms of dominant scoring ability at the SF spot. If u score MORE POINTS than any player EVER at your position, that carries A TON OF WEIGHT! IT took King James to knock Nique off the all time SF scorer spot!!!

while everyone else drops their shoulder to create space for their jumpers or stepbacks.. dominique does those in the air for the dunk

The fact that ‘Nique wasn’t listed as one of the 50 greatest is a travesty.
Also - Eaton was so massive he made Tree Rollins - 7-1” and 265 - look like he was average sized.

5:24 - I think the only time I saw Wilkins actually get mad and throw someone down in a game! Quintessential good guy.

'Nique should have been to the OG Dream Team...The whole world would have been more entertained with the human highlights film on it.

He probably would have been one of the last selections, but he had torn his achilles and wasn't available by then.

For just one, brief, split second, the thought of John Stockton actually dunking the ball during a game. On a day, when he thought nobody in the world was watching....He just sneak one quick throw down...Boom, it's done, over nobody the wiser...Is that what happened? Nope... High off the glass, his head barely scraping the net...WMB...smh :)

I think John only dunked once in his NBA career... LOL

John Stockton was a great athlete and he could dunk. He was very quick. There’s a video of him dunking in a high school gymnasium in front of a crowd of students. He obviously didn’t want to waste his energy trying to dunk in a game at 5 foot10 amongst the trees. So put some respect on the greatest point guards name

The announcers of this era would give great detail on every play.... and today's announcers just yell & scream of emotion with out describing the play...(very annoying)
