I watched this video and was very worried because my cat had what appeared to be a swollen eye, it was red and I couldn’t seem to get into a veterinarian quickly:( I booked the first available appointment I could get and I’m grateful I was able to take him, however it’s pretty nerve racking and I feel anxiety every time I have to take him to the veterinarian :( unfortunately my baby ( kitty) is accident prone & has a bad allergy to flea bites….. anyway I started using colidial silver until I could get him in to see the veterinarian, uuugh bill would have been over $600 so I opted to get their “plan” now paying a monthly fee plus ended up paying over $200 just for this one visit:( I swear every time I have to go into a veterinarian clinic I feel like I as a pet owner get taken advantage of ( I feel like when you have to go to a car dealership :/ ) unfortunately I feel like I most of the time don’t have a choice, because I love my animals so I am not going to let them suffer!!! Interesting to know. . The neighbor was trying to sell a puppy but I could see that he was sick so I took him in, trying to save him. Figured out it was parvo. There were no veterinarians who would take him in or treat him for free. I didn't have the money for treatment. So he died in my arms, it was the worst & saddest thing ever to happen.

My cat was limping off and on. He was diagnosed a little over a month ago with bone cancer. I chose to have his leg amputated since there wasn't cancer anywhere else.
It was for the better good choice, i hope he feels better now❤

My cat came home limping after being boarded. The limp got better, then much worse. The vet only suggested pain medicine and if not improved, an x ray.

My outside cat came home the other day with his front leg up in the air.

That cat is the sweetest most tolerant lump in the world... unfortunately we got our now 17,5yo cat when I was a kid, and I wasn't aware of teaching her to be okay with handling like this, and now she's started limping :(

Thanks for the heads up. A 5-month-old feral from the hood is limping. I've never touched him but I have fed them since they were a couple of weeks old. I have cages and will catch once I get these products.

Watched your video a week ago on abscess my cat had a HUGE abscess on the side of his face was able to drain it and is healing nicely... unfortunately he is prone to injury. he lost his eye in a cat fight has been ran over on his rear end and had to heal for 6 weeks one month after losing his eye. hero is constant getting into trouble one way or another and has now somehow ripped his middle claw out of its nail bed or torn/ broke something in his paw once I know what I'm doing can heal most of his wounds at home and your videos really help! So sorry to hear about your kitty in pain. First, it’s important to get your cat checked by a vet to figure out what’s causing the pain. If it’s something like arthritis or a mild injury, a natural option like Arnica or even CBD oil (properly dosed for cats!) might help. But definitely get a diagnosis first.

Thank you Dr. Jones.. My outside cat is limping badly .. She may have got entangled with another animal as we live outside pretty secluded in beautiful country .. There is no way that I can get close to her. He and her sister live on our porch and eat and are petted all of the time. Except for Ethel. Although she lives here, she always keeps her distance .. I've been able to pet her once. I don't know what to do? There is no way we could get her to the vet and I don't know how I could get close enough to use any items .. Please show me what I can do?

My cat is a hunter, spends a lot of time outside. Today I got into to my room after school to find his lip with cuts and missing fur. He also had a limp in his back leg where there was a small cut. I cried, I had no idea what to do. My grandma put some ointment on it. He has been extra lethargic and there aren’t any other cats in our neighborhood that go outside. He did catch a few pieces of prey so maybe they attacked back.

I have a stray that I let in over the winter time in Iowa and then she went into heat I let her back out she is now pregnant and jumped from a shelf the other day here in the house approximately 8 ft when she fell she's been limping ever since I have not been able to get near her to pet her since we let her in the first time even though she's spent a lot of weeks inside and I'm wondering first of all she's probably almost about to give birth to these she cannot put any weight on and she is holding it very close to her hip what can I do to try to help her what can I do to try to ease her pain and how do I know if she's got a broken bone will this affect her giving birth and do you have any advice please help

I couldn't believe it I brought my cat to the ER yesterday and the symptoms he had I swear to God I thought he was dying right then and there I thought he had gotten poisoned with those symptoms. Long story short he was taking a nap he woke up got on the bed his third eye went all the way up to where his eyes went pure White you couldn't even see the color of his eyes anymore that's how far is third eye was up he started gagging and then he was swaying and fell over losing balance really bad. Scared the s*** out of me I rushed him to the ER long story short she gave him a blood test he's absolutely 100% normal on his blood thank goodness but she said he has back pain really bad!! I'm like are you kidding me those are the symptoms for back pain for a cat?! Guess so 😕❣️

@@MK-ih6wp no he's not but thank you for asking ! Now he goes blind up to two days straight. I've literally gone to 20 doctor trips and nobody can figure out what's wrong with him. I'm absolutely sick to my stomach everyday and I'm not sleeping I'm so darn worried. I don't know what else to do. It's really horrible cuz it's a mystery nobody can figure it out so I can't treat him. So now I'm not sure it's just back pain

Hi Dr. Jones! My cat, not overweight and about 7 yrs old has not been limping but her hind legs seem weak. When she jumps onto the chair, she has a hard time jumping up. I noticed this over the last week or so. it came on suddenly. (or at least I didn't notice anything before)
If it's an injury (she ran into my foot when I was sitting and she was running around like crazy) It should get better, right?
If it's neuropathy, it probably wouldn't have come on this quickly? Sometimes she sit on my coffee table and I noticed recently if she's on the edge with her back legs, she slips a little.

my kitty Corbin (19lbs, 15yrs, male maine coon) has been limping for months :( we took him to the vet to get the limp checked out, but the vet discovered he has a heart murmur; so that immediately became the focus of our visit (we're giving him 6.25 mg atenolol daily as a result). his pain is coming from the front right paw; which was also the location where we discovered... a wart or a skin tag or something? god i can't remember what the vet called it... it was just a little bump between his toes that the vet's cut out (i don't think that's what is causing his limp but would be remiss to not mention it). anyway it's been approx 4 months since he started the atenolol and had the thingy removed from between his toes, but his limping has not improved; there's been no change. we were advised to try giving him omega-3 but that hasn't seemed to help him either. i'm afraid this may be some sort of trauma from landing wrong, but i can't afford to return to the vet, let alone get him an x-ray. any advice would be very much appreciated, thanks ♥
he seems to be most bothered by the lowest joint in that leg, the one closest to the paw. not sure what's that called... the wrist? ahah pls forgive my ignorance. when i try and bend the area just above his paw (the metacarpus?), he flinches with pain :< the carpus i think wouldn't be the source it's lower than that, it's right where the paw bends to plant on the floor

My kitty has Ben limping in her hind end and at times sways to the right side but she recovers without going over. I’ve been giving her cbd oil, and arnica which definitely helps her! I also put collodial silver in her food. I can’t manipulate her legs because she won’t allow it. I brought her to the vet and they said she was walking fine. i don’t know. my cat has been acting usual so i figured a uti AND leg injury. i’m making my baby a cat (my socks to go on her paws) just it’s some cushion for her.. i’ll try this out. we have a three story home.. she’s always running. perhaps she added pressure to it.. but it’s going on 4-5 days now. she’s injured that leg before. i’ll try this.

My kitten has a swollen paw pad would cbd help some of the pain in her foot she’s okay with the whole upper part of her leg being touched just not when you get down to the paw pad? My cat fell from a 7-8 feet drop and landed a bit wrong. Afterwards, he started limping, he doesn't have any major swelling, he's still using his leg but just doesn't put any weight on it. He's eating normally and doesn't have a fever, he doesn't meow like he's in pain or anything and still runs and jumps around. But he sits with his leg at a weird angle and started sleeping alot. It has been around 4-5 hours since he started limping and he started using his leg normally in between but started limping again. He's still acting normally around the house, he isn't hiding and is walking around normally. Do I still need to contact a vet or can I wait it out and try some homemade solutions with ice packs?

@@ollyminishow5125 Hey. He stopped limping as his leg healed on it own after 3 or so days. You should still visit a vet just to confirm tho but he should be fine in 3 days or so
