Hi Simon and the 4WD TV Crew, another great video. If you are on the Atherton Tablelands soon let me know. I'm on a cattle station and it would be a good place to show you guys around the area. I'm in Silver Valley and we have lots of good tracks on offer plus good camping. Let me know if your interested?

This video is like an advertisement for track closures. Vehicles that are way too big and heavy for steep bush tracks. I hope they introduce weight limits for steeper 4wd tracks, because if you guys keep charging through, f*cking everything you touch, then the whole scene is doomed. Harden up and lighten up.

oh ok, not sure how considering it was all done with the knowledge and support of the local parks authority and these guys are well and truely supported by Trust For Nature, KeepCup and many other environmental groups. They actually have a solid national reputation for being on the right side of track protection and education whilst almost everyone else isn't. We are also sure you know that whilst these bigger trucks may well be heavier, the larger tyre size and wheel base both combine to decrease the actual impact on the terrain. You know, pounds per square inch! And it is the smaller more aggressively drive vehicles with smaller tyres that actually do more damage. But hey don't bring science, logic and facts into it 😜Interesting perspective you have then thank you.

@@4WDTV You’re believing your own bullshit. Just because you have an endorsement doesn’t mean that the erosion being caused by your vehicles is somehow less of a problem than someone who isn’t “endorsed”. What I’m saying is that the less weight that we are trying to drag up these hills, the less load is put on the tracks. Yep, bigger tyres help, but less weight would help more.

@@tonygreen8221 it's not BS it is well known information and backed by plenty of testing. It is very basic physics mate. Less weight is not the answer at all when you actually understand the science, it is all about the pounds per square inch on the ground and a larger tyre on any vehicle will result in a far reduced impact on the terrain but you are legally li mites with how big you can go on any vehicle, so the perfect solution of a small lightweight vehicle with massive tyres (which would provide the best result) isn't possible. It is also naive for you to think that the larger vehicle segment isn't booming and isn't a real part of our industry and community. Not condoning any sort of track or environment damage in saying that, just noting that you are going to see more and more of these bigger vehicles on the road and in the bush and it's important that everyone knows how to treat the bush with respect and care.

    I don't trust a 4x4 show that doesn't have a Toyota in the line up🤷‍♂️

in the line up of what? You know the host owns a stand out Landcruiser FJ40 and there was a Hill in this video right? Last time we checked, they were both Toyotas 😂
