I'm beginning to see a lot of squirrels moving in lately. Finishing off all the pecans around me from this past fall. They'll be coming to my bird feeders before long and I'll have myself some nice dumplings. Can't wait, I just love those things.
Yep, it doesn’t always go according to plan. I think people get disillusioned if you don’t put in the reality of how it actually goes down once in a while.
@@TeamFoxer I’ll keep an eye out for it, I’m going to have to get a few feeders up at the shoot, there’s loads about, I’m having a squirrel day after the last days pheasant shooting, should be a bit of fun 👍
I’m sitting here in Lee’s Summit Missouri with my TX 200 mark three. I love my new air arms. I’m using it for the grey squirrels in my backyard with a set up that I have learned from you. I enjoy your videos thank you very much.
Well done, Robin. I always enjoy watching your squirrel shoots. They are some of the highest quality and most entertaining ones I have found. I should have written to you before now, as I've been watching your squirrel videos for 3 years. In fact, your videos were one of the key elements that guided me to the Air Arms S510 FAC Extra, which I bought in August 2020 for my own squirrel shooting, to deal with the squirrels infesting my own yard and attic here in South Carolina. Well, they're not in the attic anymore, and only a few are in my yard at any given time, but they continue to migrate into the yard throughout the year, so I have new targets every few days. Thank you for the ever evolving education and entertainment. I'm always looking forward to your next video. Stay safe and happy shooting. Jim
Thanks Jim I really appreciate you taking the time to watch, and then write a lengthy comment. I’m glad your getting on well with the AAS510. It’s a stunning piece of engineering, so should serve you very well. If you liked this I’m sure you’ll like the new video coming out soon.

Thanks mate, but I didn’t get as much footage as I’d have liked because of how wet it was. Next weeks is a lot better. But thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
I was lucky enough to be able to try before I bought. There was a choice of three the Beretta, browning (which I didn’t even shoot, picked it up and put it straight back) and a CG. Very fancy and light. But the Blaser just feels soooooo nice in the hand. The wood is very different to most aswell.
That was a nice setup your right you can't get them all, that jay was like something is up. But you handled it like a champ. Stay Safe from the U.S.A. ✌️
Matt Dubber is coming over for one of the shooting shows, it would be great for the two of you to get together. I’d love to see you both shoot together both here and in SA.
Nice work and good that being humane is important... might be worth getting in the habit of always clearing the undergrowth around the feeder, good practice and reduces the chances of having to break cover.
Nice one Cyril, nice one son & those squirrels are a blight on the countryside! As my father use to say squirrels are rats with fur & should be treated exactly the same! 👍
@@TeamFoxer That hide looks quite good, do you just take it down after each use or leave it there? I've got one up that i've just left as its in an area of a private garden.

Is the law in the UK still 12ft/lbs max? If so, do you think that needs to be revised? I've seen many videos on YT where guys in SA and the US are going up to 90ft/lbs, but they are shooting over 100m in some cases.
Hi there and thanks for your question. Yes the legal limit is 12ft/lbs however, we are allowed rifles over that limit if we have a fire arms certificate. Mine is variable so will shoot as low as 9 and go up to 33ft/lbs.
@@gabrielgray735 there’s is no upper limit. You can have a .50 cal air rifle if you want one. Not sure what the justification might be though. 12ft/lbs effective killing range I’d say is up to 45/50 yards in .22 and with no wind 55 yards in .177.
Now a days I don’t so much find them, I get asked or invited mostly to do something about them in particular areas. One of the good things to come from posting what I do. It’s not all good having said that, but there you go.

Ooooo S510 with a thumbhole stock 👍
Had this rifle a while now. So so reliable and has accounted for thousands of pests.
5 squirrels in that small space, that one day shooting will certainly already have an impact on other wildlife!
Shopping is great as long as it is at the hardware store, gun shop, or tool shop.

I'm all in favour of pest control but having feeders out while it's not snowing or frosty is not really good for the birds either.
In what way? They move on to natural food during the warmer months, but certain species really thrive on the high protein nuts.

Some are beautiful, and some create havoc for other birds so must be controlled.
