Thank you for this vid. I don't live in California anymore and I'm just now finding out that the fun factory has been closed. I can't believe it. I have so many memories of going there with family and friends.
Took my family to the Redondo Beach yesterday and it felt different. Not too many people around or cars. Felt something is missing. Last time I came to Redondo was about 30 years ago. Then I remembered the Arcade and was actually at the entrance spot and didn't see it. Very unfortunate. Missed the place. Thanks for the video.
That's crazy, I remember a fun factory in Frederick Maryland, it was in the Francis Scott Key Mall. That was back in the late 80's. It ended up closing in the early 90's.
It is sad that such a magical, beautiful, fascinating place closes ... a stone's throw from the sea, I would have been an excellent customer ... Fun Factory reminds me of the Luna Park ... a hug
If I knew Sunday was the last day I would’ve gone! But thank you so much for filming this. This is really something special since my family and I used to go here all the time.
Man, a few minutes in and I'm seeing Santa Cruz skate shirts, Circle Jerks, and M*A*S*H, these really are my people Rip to the arcade golden age of America
I owned the high score of 9.990 on "Space Invader" in 9 July 2.016, and broke 10K 30 days later. Well now the ongoing pandemic took its toll on the arcades, and guess that we'll never have fun again.
Dude I moved from CA to CO but I had so many memories I took some friends to the fun factory after hearing it was shutting down. I have had so many fond memories at Redondo. I’ll come back to visit despite the political views.
Good job , thank You for showing the last day !!
