I use italki for my conversation practice. My tutor is super helpful and is always able to keep the conversation going even when I can't think of anything to talk about.
The difference is by italki is, your are paying by getting lessons face to face directly. The others ones are more like, you have to be lucky, getting somebody who wants to talks, or you have to wait for some answer. And overtime some getting rude or spam etc.

I still prefer Tandem over HelloTalk ,because i like to chat 1 by 1 ,not by a bunch of people at once, but recently I don't get replies from anyone ,i wonder what's happening on them ,and whenever i messaged the same gender person as me ,they usually ignore me. ,only the opposite gender might reply me back.

A revolutionary idea I came up with is add in a feature that would allow you to open the links for someone else so there’s no way anyone can mistake you for spammer because I had to come and reason why people get reported on social media

Honestly I'm too socially awkward for that, but I still would like to help others by correcting their sentences or pronunciation without learning a language for myself. Anyways great Video 👍

I have only used language learning apps only since I wanted to focus my time to get past at least the beginner level before using any language exchange app. Maybe if I get to the intermediate level I will start using it as I think it would be more productive.

Hello Justin, I would obviously go with HelloTalk of course, I agree with you. And for the 1 minute recording issue, I think that you have to be smart enough to deliver your idea in 1 minute. Do you remember Twitter in the past and the limited number of characters? If you need more, you can simply record another audio message.
You can use them on PC it happened recently in 2023 updated I guess but before that you have to open an account in mobile only then you can have access on the web version in your pc otherwise it won't happen naturally
Have you tried ConversationExchange ? I've been using it for years with good success in finding language exchange partners, and the people there are usually very serious (i.e. they are only interested in language exchanges, not finding a romantic partner). The only downside is that the website is a little outdated, but if I find a partner that I like, I usually move the conversation over to Skype.
