I am jealous. . .when I saw how you wrapped up the power tool cords with velcro I thought that I could only dream of being as organized and disciplined as you must be. My tool shelf would have a bunch of tools with cords just crammed in where there were open spaces. This is one hell of a well thought out design. I expect after using this table for a while you are the kind of guy who will have 4 or 5 enhancements in yiur mind. I look forward to to seeing version 2.0 on RUclips in another couple years.
Thanks! That might happen sooner than expected because I moving the bench at the end of the month. I need to take all the tools out to move it which is a great opportunity to make changes.
I love it when you find a quality build done by a competent man in a home shop with non-industrial tools. Great job on these excellent videos. The only thing missing so far is an impact driver. It's crazy watching all of these diy videos where someone has hundreds if not thousands of dollars in tools and materials and then uses a drill to drive screws. I watched a video one time of a guy using 2 drills and no impact....I couldn't finish it. It's like watching someone use a knife as a screwdriver or a wrench as a hammer.
What I like about your videos is you have the tools that many of us have not all the pro shop tools. Most of us work with smaller spaces your All-In-One has been planed out really great so far on to the next video!
I am watching your whole workbench series and I am very inspired by it and very grateful for your making the videos about it. So many good ideas and solutions in it. Thank you very much! Your craftsmanship and engineering is top notch and consider me impressed. Sometimes you put a couple too many brackets and screws in my opinions, more than really necessary, but I can see you are a thorough worker, so I kinda understand that :) Anyway. Great videos, great workbench.
It's good to see another OCD person make storage solutions to fit the purpose and I love the workstation so far. You have thought through the build in a lot of detail, which is impressive. I'm probably going to steal a lot of your ideas for mine (to come).
Great bench/station. Two favorite bits, 1. Your pooch and how he/she and you share the tight space. 2. Your commentary from inside the drawer area. Priceless.Happy New Year from Rhode Island (a state) USA.
You have a very interesting design and way of building. I'm relatively new to woodworking and watching you build this table was absolutely fascinating. You have a unique way of thinking. It seems like you're retro fitting your tools after the build, but it's obvious you planned this all in advance. Can't wait to see what's to come!
I’m so glad I found this video series. I have already learnt some great techniques and got some great ideas that I will use in my design. You’ve obviously done a lot of thinking and prep prior to each video and the result is awesome. Going to binge the next few videos this week and start making some plans shortly. Congratulations on this excellent series...very well presented and edited also.
Damn! That tool storage drawer is great. I've never known how to deal with the handful of power tools I have, especially those I don't use that often. This is a great idea, and I'll likely do something similar. Thanks!
I like it too --- but would have set it back half a foot: Now it's in the way of your knees, this is the 'assembly and general workspace' zone. Also then shorter drawer slides can be used... when drawer is too deep the end gets forgotten.
Very interested to see how this continues and concludes. Looks excellent so far and something that I may well be emulating (fitting my own space, of course).
I have been enjoying this series. Like somebody already said, you have some unique ideas and I do like them. I may also use them. I am thinking in the same direction as you, but in my case, it would probably be smaller modules with some type of interconnection between them so they could be put alongside wall when not used. I have some doubt of usability of your solution for the bottom drawer, actually the cable management. You have all the positions for the tools so they will not move around. Such arrangement is nice so you can onehandedly take out the tool that you need, but a velcro permanently fixed inside a drawer seems to be very unpractical. I would have chosen to attach a long enough velcro to the cable (like it's done on notebook computer power supplies, it can be sawn through, but it can also be just glued I place somewhere near the socket) and then I would add some kind of ring or a piece of magnetic material, so it can be put on a hook or attached on a magnet inside the drawer. This gives you the option to pick the tool out easier and an option to pack and unpack cable while standing rather than while crouching. Also, if you are using the tool somewhere else, you are transporting it to the location with the cable still neatelly packed.
Looks amazing and great job on the overall build. One enhancement you may want to think about is creating a panel that can fit into the miter saw portion when its retracted. That way when the saw is down you can place the panel in the hole and gain some additional bench top space for assembly. Again, awesome job!!
Thanks Deacon. Originally that was the intention but while installing the saw I decided to go without a cover. Shortly after posting the video, however, people started pointing out I should have gone with a cover. Haha. Well, I do intend to add a cover when I finish up the station.
Great freak'in build man. Now I need to get rid of a lot of clutter in my garage and build one, just a bit smaller. Thanks for your videos, I'm now another converted subscriber.😁
loving this series, I plan to make this myself, I have the exact same table saw as you here in Australia and I'd love to see what you do to upgrade the fence. We both know how bad that thing is lol!
Really enjoyed this series. Absolutely amazing work bench and has given me ideas for turning a spare bedroom into a workshop where I still need a bed. Maybe I can put a bed inside my bench lol Can't wait tonsee more of your work. Well done!
Really enjoying watching this series! I'll be curious to see if you feel like you missed something when it's all done. Because from where I'm sitting, it seems like you've really thought of everything.
The 4 stages when looking at the descriptions: Part 1: my first impression - such a damn chaot! Part 2: What the hell does the guy want to do? Part 3: oh, that's how it should look! Part 4: okay - he did a really good job! Vielen Dank!
very interesting and very nicely done. love the way everything stores for a flat workbench. . Only thing I wish is you gave some dimensions . but again. 5 stars for your thinking up that design
Handy and well meaning guy more interested in storage the tools than using them in a working-flow. Note the big empty area on the wall over the bench. Is his work just sawing? Does he ever plane something? Give this guy some advice!
Best tip I can offer, when fitting a vice on your own, is to clamp a piece of wood into it that is as long as the height of your bench. It will support the vice without you having to hold it so that you can use both hands to attach it to the workbench.
These videos are awesome! Can’t wait to see the next one! Do you have the plans available to build a workbench like yours? I’d love to make one just like it.
you should pre-drill the plywood to prevent it from splitting when you screw/bolt it in. other than that, that's an amazing work station your building there, great job!
I recently retired from office work and have minimal experience with woodworking. I like your work and I'm interested in building a workstation like yours. Do you have a plan available?
Really good project. What about cable management: you can use 3 or 2pin connectors (can be easily found on ebay or aliexpress) In this way you'll have a (only 1) long cable always plugged in with a mother-end, and every tool of yours is going to have the father-end connector.
Yes! I have been looking at such solutions but sadly they aren't available in my local marketplace. I like the idea of a compact, inline couplers with a universal extension cord and I will probably end up buying them online but I am still looking at different options because I want to standardize.
I'd seriously consider adapting the garage door, so it hinges out, giving you a chance to put some other storage on one wall. I have beef with overhead garage doors :)
I love how your thinking out all your storage, you are missing out on opportunity to strengthen against warping by not using your timber on the vertical. At the very least I would add a caster under that center partition.
Hey Pat. Thanks and I am at this stage very concerned with the bench deflecting toward the centre but the weight still seems very evenly distributed. There is a castor under the centre partition. its toward the back of the workbench area. There's 8 castors in total under the bench spread out in a way as to distribute the weight as evenly as possible. I show it in the part 1 video.

each iteration improves the functionality of your work bench 👍🏽
It's good to see another OCD person make storage solutions to fit the purpose and I love the workstation so far. You have thought through the build in a lot of detail, which is impressive. I'm probably going to steal a lot of your ideas for mine (to come).
That's what I put them up for.
Amazing. Not only the project, but your ability to contort into all the small spaces and work.
Bob G haha. Well Bob, I'm not the biggest guy. It makes it a bit easier.
Very well thought out and executed to maximize your limited space. Nice job!!!!
I have to agree with everyone. Your workbench project is awesome to watch. Great ideas. Can't wait to see what is next.
I like this build as it is keeps everything neat and tidy. not left all over the place like if a tornado has hit the workshop.
I love the tool drawer ideas. Very nice 👍
Continuing to watch with interest. This workbench is a great idea. Videos are very well done too. Thanks for sharing!
Wait? Where's part 5? You can't leave me hanging like this. The suspense is killin' me! Awesome vid series. Enjoying them immensely.
tanc sade sorry bud. My full-time job has been keeping me quite busy. I am busy with part 5 and really hope to have it done before the weekend.
look forward to it.
One of the best done videos I've watched. Great job and your work is so beautifully precise.
That was such a good build - thank you.
Very impressive and you narrate perfectly, congratulations.
Great bench/station. Two favorite bits, 1. Your pooch and how he/she and you share the tight space. 2. Your commentary from inside the drawer area. Priceless.Happy New Year from Rhode Island (a state) USA.

Man, you are good!
The satisfaction of watching this build come together, is just great!
Thats some crazy strong looking plywood.
I am really enjoying this workbench series, can't wait for the next one.

I'm very jealous of the way your brain works, this is brilliant!!
Fabulous project! This gave me lots of ideas for my space!
Love the Velcro/cord management!!!!!
I’m so glad I found this video series. I have already learnt some great techniques and got some great ideas that I will use in my design. Thanks Stewart, very happy to hear you're enjoying the videos.
Damn! That tool storage drawer is great. I've never known how to deal with the handful of power tools I have, especially those I don't use that often. This is a great idea, and I'll likely do something similar. Thanks!
Great idea. Doing something like this will help me eliminate bulky shelves.
Dam that looks good well done Mate very inspiring I'm starting my work bench in Jan 2021 might need to get hold of you for some dimensions.
Mooi man
Baie smart....!!
Something we in S.A are limited to, are the sizes of our "garages/workshops"
The drawers for the tool storage is a great idea with a special place for each on them, thanks for sharing that idea. :-)
I like it too --- but would have set it back half a foot: Now it's in the way of your knees, this is the 'assembly and general workspace' zone. Also then shorter drawer slides can be used... when drawer is too deep the end gets forgotten.
love the idea and how you are handling it. trying to catch up on the video's to see where this leads. but so far it looks great.
Thanks dude for the power tool storage idea I think it is brilliant!!!
Very nice. I’m like you I have little space inside my shed. This gives me great ideas for a work station. Great work!
This is a magnificent workstation.. I'm kinda lost for words
Clever designs and great workmanship! Good job!
Very interested to see how this continues and concludes. Looks excellent so far and something that I may well be emulating (fitting my own space, of course).
Dude absolutely awesome consept and build, such a good idea and even better seeing it come to life👍🏻
Very impressive! I love an organized shop. You have given me some great ideas.
Nice job.
Nicely done bud.
Representing S.A.
Awesome workstation. Watching your video have inspired me to do the same :). Thank you!
Congratulations! Very practical and functional.
Amazingly well thought out.
Hi i'm waching your works from spain ,so you have verry good and amazing works ,i love it .thank you so muche

Brilliant mate, loved it. Well done!
You are a master woodworker. Love the workstation, it’s awesome.
Looks amazing and great job on the overall build. One enhancement you may want to think about is creating a panel that can fit into the miter saw portion when its retracted. I already find the plan on youre website! 😁 its so Awsome that you give away youre plans for free to start a first workshop! Great job! Big fan!
Thanks, glad you like it.
When are you going to upload the rest of the plan? I want to start building it 😄😄😄💪🏻
I just finished part 2 this morning. Planning on posting later today. Will post the link in the description as soon as it goes up.
Woodshop Junkies : how much parts does it have?
Hey, bud. Part 2 plans are in part 2 video description.
Great freak'in build man. Now I need to get rid of a lot of clutter in my garage and build one, just a bit smaller. Thanks for your videos, I'm now another converted subscriber.😁
Now why didn't that part of my brain develop? Great job!!!
amazing! Gonna build one soon, so picking up ideas...
Lekker videoreeks Jean. Groete uit Australië!!
loving this series, I plan to make this myself, I have the exact same table saw as you here in Australia and I'd love to see what you do to upgrade the fence. We both know how bad that thing is lol!
Really great job, contrats and thanks for sharing!
very good job great design!!!
greetings from Argentina
Really enjoyed this series. Absolutely amazing work bench and has given me ideas for turning a spare bedroom into a workshop where I still need a bed. Maybe I can put a bed inside my bench lol
Can't wait tonsee more of your work. Well done!
Really enjoying watching this series! I'll be curious to see if you feel like you missed something when it's all done. Because from where I'm sitting, it seems like you've really thought of everything.
Awesome! Such a great set up.
Great videos guys! The minute I saw that metabo and makita setup I knew this is some good fellows from SA! keep up the good work!
The 4 stages when looking at the descriptions:
Part 1: my first impression - such a damn chaot!
Part 2: What the hell does the guy want to do?
Part 3: oh, that's how it should look!
Part 4: okay - he did a really good job!
Vielen Dank!
Thanks. Hopefully you enjoy Part 5 - 7 even more.
i wonder if after a couple of years in use you still wrap up your power tool leads! i thought i was a neat freak...
Great ideas and workmanship fella
very interesting and very nicely done. love the way everything stores for a flat workbench. . Only thing I wish is you gave some dimensions . but again. 5 stars for your thinking up that design
well what can i say, excellent!!
It looks surprisingly functional. Most “all in ones” are more like workbenches that are rarely used. This looks like it might be okay.
This will be my only bench so I need it to be as functional as possible.
No need to say anything else but........... BAD ASS WORK BENCH!
WOW...it's comming GREAT!!!
Nice Job😁
Really nice work. Just fall on your channel with this series, really nice.
Really nice project it's coming along nicely keep up the great vlogs 👍
Dude... Your work is amazing! From a fellow left-hander, in Joburg.
Excellent work. I've seen all parts and but the extension of the table saw is one of the best i've ever seen! ***** Five Stars :D
Watch-fest!! Really enjoying your build..
Great idea
Bloody awesome!!
Really nice build, the tool draws are brilliant. Good one champ.
Riaan Oliver Thanks Riaan!
nicely done pal 🔨👌
Love it!
nice work thanks....
perfectly thought out
Handy and well meaning guy more interested in storage the tools than using them in a working-flow. Note the big empty area on the wall over the bench. Is his work just sawing? Does he ever plane something? Give this guy some advice!
Instruction was complete and filming is great. Just wondering if you live on a boat because you really secured all

Good tip! I'll remember that. Thanks!
Hello from Canada! I absolutely LOVE this design. I was wondering if you have a calculated how many hours you spent building this beauty.
Sehr gut!
saludos desde PERU un gran tutorial y excelente trabajo, gracias por su aporte felicidades

You know you're a carpenter when you put washers on when you're screwing a piece of velcro to a board lol 11:25
OCD …… F love it !
hey my dude, my gf is requesting a sewing table, could you do something like that? Love the vids
Great job!

@@WoodshopJunkies as I've mentioned, you can buy them through aliexpress
Are the dividers plywood, pine plank boards or did you create them? Thanks love your videos.
I'd seriously consider adapting the garage door, so it hinges out, giving you a chance to put some other storage on one wall.
I have beef with overhead garage doors :)
Sadly, I don't own the house so I can't do much about the door and also that is why I avoid fixing things to the walls.
13:22 what a satisfying moment! :-)
Great work love it coming from someone in sa. Do you have plans and dimensions I need to make one for my small shed.
Leon Hendricks part 1 and 2 is up on my site woodworkjunkie.com the other will follow soon.
I love how your thinking out all your storage, you are missing out on opportunity to strengthen against warping by not using your timber on the vertical. At the very least I would add a caster under that center partition.
