As brilliant as you ever were when we were students together in Durham. Thanks for keeping the faith - you are just superb and oh how I wish I could play like that!
I met Bob in 2004 at the Mellerud Folk Festival in Sweden, he played a fantastic set AND held a crowded clinic about playing folky guitar. I'm a Bob Fox fan since then, he made a big impression on me; kind of a surprise since I'm mostly into progressive music and heavier and "tech-ier" stuff. Bob's vocals and guitar is a natural force.
So, Sally Wheatley, Peggy Gordon and Barbara Allen walk into a bar, "What is it with guys these days ?" they say they want a relationship but we can't even get on 'first name terms' with them .:-)
That would never happen...I'm his great grand daughter Kasandra nee Wilson...and if he had, I wouldn't be here...he married his love Isabella 'Bella'.... a great great song!
I'm not a Geordie, but this song is one of my favourite folk-related songs and sung by Bob it truly tugs my emotions.
Just LOVE Bob FOx,he brings back my Geordie memories, been away fifty years, still am a geordie
ONCE A GEORDIE, ALWAYS A GEORDIE. HOWAY THE LADS.

If you ever get a chance to see Bob Fox, seize it! A fantastic voice, accomplished player and truly great entertainer.
I was sent this link by a friend. What a voice and beautiful playing.
It was lovely to hear this sung today in a gathering in Chipping Sodbury. I can now listen to it again sung by the brilliant Bob Fox.
and again yesterday evening.
Why oh why hasn't this got a million likes, like...
Love this version of this song. Bob Fox is amazing.
Such a sad and beautiful song and Bob gives it a consummate performance.

a friend of mine wrote a parody in which the protagonist solves his problem by murdering Mr Black! Not terribly pc, but it made us laugh at the time!
I learnt this in school
Love it!
