If you dont like it, then dont buy it. I dont like Toyotas but I dont hate on you becuase you do. PS. The Sebring has been one of the top selling convertibles since it came out. I would say they must be doing something right....
I just don't understand the hate for these and their LeBaron predecessors. Sure, they're kinda cheap in a lot of ways, but one of those ways is in their price. And for the price, you get a stylish, well equipped, smooth-riding convertible with no sporting pretensions but adequate power and good fuel economy. The derision heaped on them is just snobbery, and mostly from people who couldn't afford one of these, let alone the Mercedes that they inevitably compare them to. Not my cup of tea, mind you, but I understand the appeal, and judging from the sales figures, so do a lot of others.
Yeah, it's good if you're in Florida. These cars are over engineered tin cans. For only a 10 year car, I've never seen such bad suspension engineering. Especially the camber system with those dumb bolts in the toe links. It's a nightmare. And the charging systems fail all the time. Seeing these in my local junkyard with many engine fires due to a poor charging system. Getting up to 15.6 reading while running isn't good. There is a lot wrong with these.
You forgot to tell everyone how expensive it is to fix the convertible top when it stops working. Chryslers have a reputation for their top breaking down. You also forgot to tell everyone only a Chrysler Dealership can repair the top when it stops working and the customer has no choice but to pay Chrysler absorbate fees to fix their top.
To take all your money!also CD player is junk, starter sticks, have to replace front end parts every 3-4 years and alignment close to 1500.00, new top every 5-7 years close to 1500.00.it does have a 6 speed transmission with slapshift if that goes out scrap it.yep they got me good trade in time.
This is my third Mopar vehicle I have never had an engine problem with any of my vehicles. My first was a Plymouth Sundance 1993 sold it because I didn't want it anymore aka (ugly) I then bought a lebaron 1990 for only 500 dollars junked it a year later(rusted to death engine still ran really good) then a 1997 caddy catera which blew up then last year bought my 2008 sebring convertible for only 12,000 i enjoy it but don't know why they still called it a Sebring after thrid generation
I did own .3 no more tonsof ussues head gaskets twice fuel pumps and gas :tanks plus2 computers never again bought a honda never a issue ever again with nothing
I think this car is fun to have but I’m also younger with no kids lol but everyone prefers my Sebring to cruise around in cuz it’s a convertible. Haven’t had issues . Wish they would make a comeback with some cool upgrades in the interior. That would be dope .the 08 had better style cuz of the simplicity.
Don't be fooled by these "nice looking" cars. It's all they are. Careful of engine fires. I visit junkyards frequently for my Sebring and was shocked to see how many Chrysler's with fires started from the engine. Mainly poor charging systems. Not to mention sloppy suspension engineering.
I had the sedan of this generation as a rental when visiting my parents. Most God awful car I've ever driven. I took my mom's Infiniti one day and she used the Sebring. She called me and told me that she was never going to forgive me for making her drive the thing. The mild restyle to the first 200 was a much improved model, and I still think the second and final generation of the 200 was sold short and was very attractive.
marneysmusic I’m sorry, but I don’t see any better interior quality of you hop over to a base Toyota it looks awful and bland, but apparently they’re upscale to some people.

"This is a very fine car"
"We predict bad resale values"
...don't the kinda set the standard for resale values??
I have a 2008 Sebring Limited sedan with the 3.5 and 6 speed (62TE) transmission. It's a very nice driving car, especially on the highway.

Absorbate? What does that mean?

Is there way to pull the top up and down manually?

Do you own one? Just wondering cause I got a question about them. I hear they have a history of bad water pumps not sure if it's true though
I did own .3 no more tonsof ussues head gaskets twice fuel pumps and gas :tanks plus2 computers never again bought a honda never a issue ever again with nothing
@rickwaldron4255 wow. This was 13 years ago I commented this. Crazy. Never did buy one.
@@Kartracer6im planning to buy it for 77$ what is your thought?
the imfamous car driven by micheal scott
It was a different year of Sebring that he drove
Do 2008 Chrysler Sebring Limited Convertible rear seats fold down?

I'm gonna have to consider this for my first car. Hard top convertible is fuckig awesome
Competitors for the Chrysler Sebring (now 200 sedan) include the Ford Fusion, Mazda6, Toyota Corolla, and Honda Civic.
how many miles does it have?
@micahmuzio is that you?
It's true, Chrysler no longer uses the extremely reliable KARMAN tops, but EVERYBODY in the industry is using the same top as Chrysler uses now.
yeah i hate America has like so many good models
there's no challenger, mustang, corvette or anything here
globalize people
i guess if you enjoy replacing your timing chain and water pump every 60k miles....
Aren't most cars around 60k?
The successor to the sebring is the Chrysler 200.
Chrysler Sebring has been always my favorite car and it has 5 00 horse power
Only 5 horse power no wounder its good on fuel
@drippinblood28 the grand voyager is good minivan thought!
How to open the rear seats 2008 Chrysler Sebring
Ali Aljumely you don't
Chrysler is the greatest car in the world
this is from someone who owns a 1995 honda and does not own new cars.
Smart man.
Yhats because the honda runs and runs why by a new car.hondas don't quit
Ive had a couple sebrings and loved them . But this boxy body isnt as attractive . I loved the look of the 2003 model best in looks and ride .
K Croz i agree i have to 02 limited those models to 2007 was the best shape and ride indeed
Plus these are smaller
I like the 04.
I've now had 4. My personal best was 97 LXI live that car
i love any american car
Must take it to a mechanic/garage to replace the battery! $125.00 plus battery. Wow
Same here 😂
bru its easy just takes a long time like 30 minutes
Great car...especially great used car buy
Hate the styling. They ruined it. Chrysler makes junk these days but the convertibles looked great at least until they screwed that up in 2008.
ChryslerReich. I think look like a bonnie and Clyde meets the third reich.
Chrysler claims 130mph
On the 4 cylinder I dout that one
More classic....originality fail
The 2.7 has been around for a long time, for a good reason. It's a great engine.
Yea did you ever work on
one what abotrion
@@rickwaldron4255 I had 2 of them. Never "worked on" them.
It's a Fiat, wake up people !!!!!

CHrysler Sebring has always junk rust buckets
Since when are Chrysler interior upscale? Its not very upscale in this piece of crap.
