Nadal made 4 out of the last 6 finals on a hard court major. He's the player with the highest win percentage (over 90%) on hard courts for the last 50 weeks. At 33 years of age, almost 34. Guy's phenomenal. People have to realize that just because there's Djokovic who is the goat on hard courts, doesn't mean the rest have bad achievements. Nadal is second best hard court player since 2013.
And not to mention that H2H in hard court slams between them is just 3/2 for Djoker (2-0 at AO, 2-1 for Rafa at US Open), nobody else can pretend to be that close to Nole, except the Stanimal who is Djoker's nightmare, with 4-3 for the serbian. And on the other hands, just because Rafa dominated the clay court for the last 15 years doesn't mean that other players aren't great on clay. Roger, Novak and Stan are easily top 5 players on clay ever
@@theobecquet8477 People neglect Nadal's hard court abilities due to his impossible results on clay. People expect him to the same on other surfaces which is not realistic. Still 5 slams on hard is incredible and he has made 10 finals in GS overall despite missing couple times in each of the slams and retiring in few.
NLLeFa Since 2013? I disagree. Federer was far better on hardcourts from 2014 - 2017. Federer was the only one consistently challenging Djokovic in slams and ATP tournaments. Rafa just kept getting straight setted.
@@MrPatrickbuit Well since then Nadal has won 3 majors on hard, while Federer has won two. With masters 1000 Fed leads 7-5. However, Nadal has reached twice as many GS finals. Also has greater winning percentage since then and especially since 2017. Nadal is the only player ever to beat prime Novak twice on hard at GS.

Théo Becquet I don’t know if we can put Stan top 5 but yeah. When Nadal’s not injured he’s the 2nd best hard court player behind Djokovic.
This has to be the best match ive seen irl. Such an incredible experience. Thank you Us open for reminding me and letting me live through this match again
Thanks for uploading the full match during lock down time!
That point won at 4:18:14 by nadal....wowwwww....pure genius
Whose here after watching AO 2022? What incredible fighters
They gonna play in aus open final 2022.
Crazy match. What a final
Thanks for the video. I haven't seen this two play togheter yet. It's a wonderful match. I'm, above all, amazed by a twenty-tree years old Medvedev that took the control of the match from the start (even in the bad moments). Seems to me that the most famous Nadal just adapted to his game.
Now they are again meeting in Australian open final on Sunday.. will be a great match😁
Nadal won... yeahhh🥳🥳.. 21st grandslam woahh
Hope Rafa can recover from his injury and get back to Top Level again. His game is amazing.

Who’s here after rafa s 21 in AO 2022 ?
I think Nadal’s serve well improved
3rd best after uso 2010 and davis cup 2019
strongwise 2013 was much better as well.
@@-theislander-5888 2013 was shit lmao. USO at least.
@@strongwise1255
Nadal serve better at the 2013 USO than he did here.
Thank you US Open for this great final !!
US Open, please post more full tennis matches, very grateful and much prefer to watch these amazing matches than buried in coronavirus news. This is positive therapy for the masses.
Any other player would've crumbled under such immense pressure but not Rafa. That's why he's the GOAT. What a final this was. Absolutely amazing. So many twists and turns and everything you could want in a Grand Slam Final. Vamos Rafa!
He is the goat
@@brocklesnar8780 Yes, absolutely correct.
@@horsepower523 yep thanks🙂
Exactly! Like Chokovic, who choked in straight sets 🤣🤣
Your comment aged so well…
@@tennis-man22 Yeah, sadly Nadal is finished now. He's on his way to retirement. Sad but true.
The atmosphere at Arthur Ashe is always something to behold! One of the great sporting venues, across all sports!
Disgusting crowd 👺👺👺
they are clueless about how to watch a tennis match
Fico impressionado com a capacidade do Nadal de não errar nos momentos decisivos
Cool! A high quality match. I went to the US Open in 2019
A match for the ages!!!! VAMOS RAFA!!!
If you ever needed an encapsulation of who Daniil Medvedev is, he came in to serve and volley off a second serve to Nadal's forehand, on championship point.
Nice! Something to watch during quarantaine in Belgium 🙏
I remember watching this live and being glued to my TV the entire time
Any other Med fans here that can now bear to watch this match to the end?
I also play Tama

@@justdev8965 I actually “only” have a Stewart Copeland Signature Snare, my set is a PDP, a full Tama kit is a bit out of my price range for now, but perhaps one day..

Yes! I wasn’t a meddie fan at the time but now I love watching this match. Amazing high level
Nadal thiem uso 2018 please. One of the most intense matches ever
Still keep watching it for the 5th set... the best match I have seen so far...
I watched it after 2022 Aussie open final . Medvedev played amazing but Rafa proved why he was a super star in tennis among the great trio.
Rafa is the GOAT...he’s beaten Federer in Wimbledon and Australian Open Djokovic at US Open twice but they can’t touch him at Roland Garros...he can take them in their surface, but they can’t touch him in his!
FO 2021 SF Djoker:- hold my grass
The one tournament that shares its content. Thank you!
What a match from Medvedev
3:41:10 that return for the set...
Amazing match thank you for uploading us open!
the best match of 2019. Amazing 2 players.
@David H. Ospina Nadal - Djokovic Wimbledon Semifinal match was in 2018.
@David H. Ospina Do you think Nadal - Federer?
