Meddy beautifully humbled the media that was drooling over Alcaraz vs Djokovic too early. Medvedev's ability to learn and play intelligently should not be underestimated especially at the us open.
Medvedev clearly stating that he's not happy being seen as 'the third' best tennis player out there 👌
Indeed
Fr put some respect on his name😤😤
Being the third best player in the world isn't easy at all.
I love that he let his tennis do the talking instead of his mouth.
The ATP point system says otherwise. Let's hope for a great final is what counts. Carlos is still only 20 & learning as his sets are a bit topsy turvy including on the Tour.
Thank you, US Open, for uploading these full matches and showing your appreciation for tennis fans around the world! Roland Garros and AO should take note, not to mention the elitist, upsell-peddling, exclusivity obsessed gated community from the UK that calls itself a tennis tournament.
You can on that, racist, misogynistic, white supremacist Wimbledon.
USO has the best highlights in my opinion
Totally agree, Roland Garros is a horrible tournament. They don’t upload the videos and it’s almost impossible to track the ball on clay on the TV. I dislike clay. True tennis is grass.
@@Bowl849se don’t want highlights, we need the entire match.

The best motivation for Dannii Medvedev is New York spectators 😅.. and love that Medvedev is keep winning! 😊😊😊
Medvedev showed us that he can beat the best players because he is a great champion
We’ve known that since 2021 when he bullied Novak to win his first slam
He will not beat big daddy novak tho
Medvedev IS obviously already one of the three BEST players on tour. All the others are chasing...
Wow, Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary is tiny!
Why isn't his nationality being shown?
The game was great. Well done Daniil 👏❤️
Thank you US Open and USTA for posting these great full match videos so quickly!
Should be UTSA
Daniil is a quirky player and here despite the intense pro Carlos crowd, he's quietly taking care of his side of the net. His movement, especially for a man his size is severely underrated. Well done to both for putting on an exquisite show!
The crowd is so rude. And the commentators are also biased to Carlos. I'm ashamed of them, I'm an American from Los Angeles.
Do you have the latest tennis game by Emma Raducanu today Jan.16 2024 . Can I watch it? Today...@@jojijosette5946
Medvedev played brilliantly 😊
His serves
His ground strokes
His passing shots
Great 👍
what a shame, the new york crowd refuses to applaud on a russian's victory .. come on, this is sports, not war 😢
Thanks to US Open RUclips channel admin for the full match !!! 👍🙌
Instant classic !!!
The Alcaraz train has come to a stop - great to see the US Open crowd silenced, and those who thought this was going to be an easy win for Alcaraz. Show some respect for Mr. Octopus!
Just because he loses one game doesn't mean its over. 🤡
@@jd32k He was probably talking about the Alcaraz hype train where he was perceived as unstoppable and unbeatable by some
@@nixiontmwho said he was unbeatable . He lost twice before us open
All that coaching for Alcaraz during Danil's serve, all those demonstrative celebration by carlos, the onesided cheering crowd, could not change the beatdown.
Well said, I go nuts listening to the coaching on every single point, vamos bamos vamos bamos, too annoying.
Даня просто перевернул этот бой в свою пользу, тактика и хладнокровие были его главным оружием над Карлосом.Несмотря на то, что практически весь стадион был за Алькареса. Браво, Даниил!!!🔥👍👋
Insane performance by Meddy
Medvedev vs Djokovic is the final that the establishment feared.
hehee yes yes 😂
MUHAHAHA 😈
Hmmm so why didn't Djoko didn't win on US soil in 2022 and 2021 ??
Please jab my memory
@@advance-heating 2022 Novak was not allowed to play
2021 Novak was going Under More More More pressure cuz of the History winning 4/4 Slams in same year Calendar slam
I said that if Novak was playing vs Medvedev without a pressure like 2021 AO he would beat medvedev
Fas forward 2023 yea Novak without any pressure >> beared Medveddev
@@rogersalllike9133in 2021 Medvedev played well and Djokovic can't find his rhythm ..don't give execuses..also in 2023 Djokovic want revenge against Medvedev and played well ..noone can win forever
2:13:08 that was arguably the best return on this match and look at how the crowd reacted. They all grumble instead of applauding that shot. Unbelievable.
Really happy for Meddy. He was awesome in this match 👏🏻 🎾. Glad he got his revenge over Carlos after losing to him at Wimbledon.
And Indian Wells also
Insane game by Daniil🔥
Who noticed that at the beginning of the match up to the 2nd set, the commentators never gave Meddy a chance. Always hyping Carlos.
And what the US Open commentators say matters. So true.
Yes, but Americans have always done that. They inflate their self-esteem until it bursts for the amusement of the whole world.😂
Даниил молодец, был выдержан, дисциплинирован, хорош в атаке, 🎉🎉🎉
Может алькарас слил?
To all those who have been underestimated before. Use this guy as inspiration.
Carlos and coaches was ready for match with Novak. and forgot about this one
Carlos has been showing signs of stress and pressure. Danil realized this and did a wonderful job of breaking down the struggling Alcaraz. Job well done Danil😊
Alcaraz practiced his serve too much and forgot about the other things, on his last match his serve was dogshit but his forehand, backhand and drop shots were on point
@@Xanexz The sonic rush of fame has caught upto Carlos. Time for him to stop, breathe, then pull himself together. This cannot be a surprise. It happens.
Excuses

@@Xanexz It seems he has trained to slice BH and run around FH for this tournament. Perhaps its to take advantage of the slow surface. But alas, it seems he has neglected his solid baseline skills.
Rumour has it the crowd are still in tears
Seeing the player US open crowd supports lose feels like winning the match myself
Thx for posting the full match for those of us who had to miss it for various reasons (like ESPN not being shown on Spectrum)
Fun part was listening to the moderators gradually tone down the narrative to match reality.

Medvedev defies the laws of physics. How can a 6’6” guy be this fast?
He's just not the typical body build of any tennis player. Medvedev has no massive chest, shoulders, upper arm, no monstrous thighs and calves. How does Daniil mangage to develop so much power from the body of a computer nerd?
I think it's because he's so tall that he has to remain thin. You know, every 10% extra height means an extra 30% body weight otherwise. Which is why there are no 12 feet tall, perfectly athletic humans around beating us out of the gene pool.
He is 6'4
Great , now i can watch a final where the coach doesn’t give instructions to the player at every point ! Lets be honest , without Juan Carlos telling Carlito what to do 100 times per match he’d barely make sf of slams, Meddy was a cold blooded killler 😅😅
Do not forget the constant fist pumping and watching to his Coach like he is some 12 year old kid brainwashed to do what parents tell him
and cant play tennis on his own like Novak Nadal and Roger did i
@@rogersalllike9133 facts and imo the on court coaching cheapens the value of winning , take it away and Nole , Meddy ,Roger and Rafa would still be slam champions but these coaching kids wouldn’t even make it to the second week
Almost like thats his job as a coach 🤡
Well said, so annoying to listen them saying vamos vamos every single point.
I don’t think I have ever seen Carlos lose that many games in a set to anybody last few years of his rise to the top, he did not seem to have the emotion today he needed, but either way Danil slowed his pace a bit and was way more focused too Congrats to Medvedev .😊
In the beginning of this match commentators were all for Alcaraz , how great he is …. By second set they switched side !
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
haha, in the end they all were silenced.
Bravo Medo !!!!!!!!
Pozdrav iz Srbije !!!!!
"water covers 70% of the earth but the rest is covered by Medvedev" lol
I can't stop rewatching this match, I love how the crowd was there for Carlos but Meddy ruined their plans :D
ur right, this is sooo much better than womens grunting teenis
I'd love to see Medvedev win Wimbledon and carry the flag for underdogs everywhere. Sharapova was special and so is Medvedev.
Disgusting crowd. Well done, Daniil, for shutting those vamovamovamo down
That's for sure
Crowds are always partisan, many of them much worse than this one.
I would like to say thanks to the us open for the full matches early this year 2 MIN HIGHLIGHTS can only tell you so much a real tennis fan needs to sit and watch full matches to fully understand what went wrong so yeah guys keep it up great us open like always cant miss a match
Alcaraz got outplayed to a point of saying he has not matured enough
Medvedev got dominated to a point where he said alcaraz might break the grand slam record .
Did any one notice Alcaraz typically don't grunt, but when he hit big, he shouted, Similar situation with Djokovic, recalled umpire gave Djokovic "hindrance to opponent" violation, but nothing issued to Alcaraz, rules work different to different players.
That was medvedev shouting
@@jd32k You need hearing aid
@@user-hm8nb5jr3w you're probably right
Alcaraz’s grunts weren’t happening when medvedev was hitting or about to hit, that’s when it’s hindrance. Djokovic fans need to seriously calm their persecution complexes.
dont know how dani pulled this off... alcaraz is in another stratosphere... hes not even human. will be our next 20 major winner most likely.
Medvedev had had some remarkable points which shattered Alcaraz self confidence.
Very cool putting up these full matches, well done USO..and even more well done Daniil, when many (myself included) weren't sure you had it in you. Thanks for proving us wrong!
US Open crowd is the worst in any tennis tournaments. Medvedev showed them his class. Hope he continous his reign against this arrogant kid in all hard court matches coming up.
Does anyone remember when Daria Medvedeva for the 1st time showed emotion when Medvedev won a point? I need to see this again, who can pinpoint this moment for me😂
2:15:17
Thankyou US Open for your generosity on letting us see this, since Sky UK make it too costly.
What a great match! Med thoroughly deserved the win, no doubt. His serving, deep & powerful returns and groundstrokes were all on point. The big guy barely put a foot wrong throughout the entire match. Game 9 in the 4th set told you all you need to know about Medvedev. Brilliant player and already a legend. His unorthodox style adds to his appeal somewhat, but, it's his natural talent that eclipses all else and shines through brightly. The men's tennis world would be significantly less appealing & intetesting without Meddy, so I hope he can stay at the top for at least the next 5 years. All the best for the future, Daniil!
Proud of Daniil 🎉amazing game ❤ Russian character
The way the Commentators were overhyping Alcaraz at the start of the first set, even the simplest shot is praised like no tomorrow 😂😂. They cant even hide their biases 😂😂
I always root for the underdog. Alcaraz has all the hype behind him and got big headed. Humble pie was served.
Medvedev showing us all why he's a hard court specialist!
To beat Medvedev you must attract him to the net,AND pass him on the following shot!!!without making any error...if not, you are dead!! ...ok,it is scary, but struggling with him from the baseline is hopeless!!!his patience is infinite, and he just waits for errors...after 30 plus shots...
I love you US Open, best RUclips page ❤ tied with the AO 🙈
Medvedev is a true tactician and extremely strong mentally.
Medvedev had to play against Rublev in the extreme heat, and then the #1 player Alcaraz. Tough matches and possibly 2 of the best matches of the tournament. He did what he had to do and gave it his all to get to the final. Just couldn't make it one step farther. Thanks for putting up these matches so quickly!
The commentary is so in favor of Alcaraz that it's embarrassing. Medvedev played a fantastic match. In his own style of course.
Crowd cheered louder for Alcaraz knowing how to catch a tennis ball than any of Medvedev’s points
Alcarez played amazing but Medvedev was on top of Alcarez's every shot. At the end, the world#1 just broke down.
Nice thing you guys uploaded full game. Thank you!
Medvedev has great timing and hits the ball flat, so the hard surface of US Open suited him better than Wimbledon's grass. He played great tactically, and even though somewhat vulnerable to the drop shot and lob, his superb ground hitting was enough to keep Carlos from gaining sufficient momentum to dominate. Smart play and excellent execution from Medvedev. Carlos is certainly the outstanding player at present, but it's great to see he will have some hot competition in future. Wonderful match, congratulations to both players. 👏
Just strange to hear the No. 1 player being coached and so often.
After seeing this match , i can assure you all that the quality of final match was far better.
What nonsense!
Class Act! Tbh Medvedev is so underrated. What an explosive performance!
I like the commentators here better than ESPN's, more focus on tennis less opinions and psychological speculations.
Congrats to both of Great Players. High Level.
Love Medvedev! Hope he wins his second slam today!
But sadly he didn't
alcaraz loves to dominate his opponents .. but the problem is, the moment his opponent dominates him, he doesn't know how (or at least not quick enough) to react ..
that is the main thing which (i believe) he must improve in his next coming matches .. he's is a great athlete, i hope he will learn it the soonest
Lol bs . Alcaraz was getting dominated in Wimbledon final and then turned it around and teebagged novak
@@Fraudkovic nope, novak was not able to dominate carlos specially before a rowdy and hostile english crowd
@@attybong novak was 6-1 in the first set and then carlos spanked him 😉. You can try all mental gymnastics you want but alcaraz dominated djokovic after the first set .
@@Fraudkovic wimbledon finals was a 5set match .. it was the rude english clowns who alcaraz to victory ..
Before New York, Mendy had nothing to give him hope of success against Carlitos. Medvedev was a client of Alcaraz because his style suited the Spaniard. But Mendy has found a path that could lead him to victory over Carlitos. And this path lies in the Spaniard’s serve trajectories. With his move, Mendy denied Carlitos the opportunity to respond with a forehand arm attack or a drop-shot.
😂😂😂
Thanks for upload!
Даниил, молодец!!! Когда все против, ты своей выдержкой и дисциплиной этих "гудящих" уделал!!!
craziest game in this sport i've seen in years, maybe ever
Huge match from Medvedev. I can hardly wait the match between him and Djokovic. Time goes much too slowly..
Why not upload in 4k?
Medvedev what are you doing? Zverev has already sworn allegiance to the new tennis king
Ахахаха

2:25:30 The umpire's comment here symbolizes this match. But Medvedev remained calm. I feel like Carlos has shrunk and is no longer able to play as usual.😮
Did he pass doping-test? Or shrunk mentally?
Lol so many haters off of one loss
the commentator is totally biased towards alcaraz ....all the tiime talking what he could do , not appreciating such smooth game from mendevev
Why RUSSIA was not mentioned next to the name of Medvedev? Disgusting...
Because everyone hates Russia at the moment.
Because world hate Russia.
Because people associate this word with death. But Mehndi is not about death.
Because small hat goblins control the US
it's because western powers are hypocrites actually@@NickName_99_
Carlos still yuong he's letting the coach to control how he plays. he doesnt know what to do when losing
Looking in retrospect... Was a key moment of the match. The difference between 1-1 and 2-0 was massive.

such a joy to watch

Carlos has been Alcarazed
It’s insane to think but we really forget Alcaraz is only 20. Still a lot of learning and maturing to do yet. It would be insane if he did make the finals and win his 3rd slam all within 1 year. That’s a feat none of the Big 3 ever came close to at his age. I’m glad he’s pulled out of the David Cup and taking time off. First time since Wimbledon he’ll go a couple weeks without Tennis. He’ll probably win a Masters or 2 before the years out then a deep run at the Finals. Next year he’ll be a menace again🤣 AO, RG, Wimbledon and USO 🥶
He lost. 😂

Who is the commentator with that female voice or is he a female.. Must have killed himself after the match.
who, Robbie Koenig?
Just watching the match it seems clear to me that Carlitos is just stressed and making so many unforced errors- definitely not in the zone, which is when he plays at his real genial level. Obviously his camp know this already. Time to rest and re-energise- that's all. His brilliance was, despite this, there for all to see.
