The WORST Perk!

- This perk is a mess right now!
While streaming Dead by Daylight right after the release of chapter 31 and the new killer the Unknown and the new survivor sable ward, I decided to review the perk Undone to answer the question, Is Undone a good perk? DBD chapter 31 has brought the unknown and sable ward and both are extremely fun to play. The Unknown might be the best killer in dead by daylight. But is Undone a strong killer perk on all the killer builds? During the dbd blood moon event, I tried out an undone slipknot doctor build. It was an impossible skillcheck build. I'll let you know what killer builds do well with this perk and go over the best killer builds and best killer perks. Is this a good gen regression perk? Should undone be in all of your gen regression builds? This review is part of my killer perk review series where I give tips and tricks to using perks. Will Undone fit into the best killer builds. This will lead to some salty survivors and salty ttv. The Unknown has just been released and people are still learning how to counter The Unknown and his perks, unforseen, unbound, and undone. Sable Wards perks are Strength in Shadows, Invocation: Weaving Spiders, and Wicked.

it’s honestly crazy how they clearly have data about how rarely survivors miss skill checks, they literally posted a chart of it recently, and they STILL decided to make undone
I feel like the dev is so NPC 😂
Not to mention it’s just annoying perk design. It’s another win more perk.
Keep in mind they probably did not have the research when making it they have it but the people making it probably didn’t or perhaps it’s best to finish it then to scrap it. Also half of the perks in general killer/survivor aren’t even used because people care for the best with some just picking specifics for a build they’re running like a trap build or gen rush build
I think the perk should gain tokens when survivors succeed a good skill check and decrease the value of each token, that way it’s more useful.
Fear factor + against new players.
If they made huntress lullaby not a hex this perk would be decent
Huntress lullaby not a hex is gonna be hell💀💀
@@froxygaming120if you cant hit skill checks without a sound que then thats a skill issue😭
@@sampxv1866 its fine with normal skill check BUT if u add god damn doctor random position..... HOW YOU CAN FOCUSED
p.s ik this is pain because IM DOCTOR MAIN
@@froxygaming120 how would you know its pain? being a doctor main doesn't mean YOU know, just everyone you go against knows
@@VexingWeeb lmao trust me i been facing several doctor player with those build and its pain to face but again its possible but impossible at same time to focus
I alone will make the killer make that perk useful
Hope it's a good build lolz
Who does bro think he is
No I mean I suck at quick times
@@Acount463how did 2 people miss that bro lmao
@PuhQuie I really came to this replies thinking: how many people said " so me" and I see 2 people kissed the point by mile
The fact that people said this perk is gonna be overpowered just shows how people complain about any and everything
Yea survivors do they probably still want undone nerfed
@goldvoltage9053 that's just ignorant though, killers whine about everything and have done for years
@@RollingForThoma except the difference is survivors always get their way
@@RollingForThoma not gonna lie i barely see killers crying or being incredibly toxic, thats kinda just survivors from my experience
@@RollingForThoma But which side has more people whining. Like when BHVR buffed any killer just a little survivors would whine,b*tch, and complain. Hell when a new killer is released survivor players would cry that the killer is op and that killer needs a nerf. Example 1. Onryo when she released survivors were already saying she needs to be nerfed remind you it was release Onryo.
What’s worse is that the blocking of gens that the perks gives stops the gens regress that comes with kicking the gen
Honestly it would be way cooler if blocked gens keep regressing. It's a nice buff for painres, DMS, ruin and grim.
They should make it gain stacks with good (or maybe great) skill checks and make it regress when it's blocked
@@sadpug9398 The whole reason that gens don't regress while blocked is because of how strong those perks are.
@@pastorlul2384 well maybe there would be any actual purpose to using undone if it was the only way to regress gens while blocking
Itd be cool if it only blocked the gen only when a survivor touches it
They should make it when survivors hit skill checks, but the penalty is less
Great Skill checks would make it Balanced like Gearhead.
@@thecrownvicguy3904 Yeah I second this. Like what was Behavior thinking here, I have barely any time on survivor and I can hit skill checks fine, so forget about advanced survivors.
@justscrollinginthecomments7930 Well, to be fair, they dont play their own game, and its a proven fact just by looking at what they update. 😅😅
@@thecrownvicguy3904that’s probably the most fair otherwise it’d just be punishing survivors for playing the game or better yet doing the objective
The auto thumbnail did us dirty.....
Showing pop with that title
After the most recent update, it aged well lol.
i think due to the very limited amount of meaningful mechanics in the game. they are having a hard time invent new balanced good perks
Or it could mean they'll be implementing more ideas, 2v8 is coming out which doesn't make this perk GOOD but it does sound alot better in that setting
if only it was good skill checks instead. then you get more use out of it because skill checks are mostly succeeded, it's worse for high mmr survivors but better for noob survivors, and it's even more thematically appropriate because it means more progress is done by survivors, only for more progress to be undone.
That is actually brilliant.
Feels kinda like I’m being punished for just playing the game ngl. I like where your heads at though
It’d need to be reworked to operate in that way though
So original rune 2.0?
Very sneaky Leeroy reference there 😂
LEEEROYYYY JENKINNNNNS
When I ran it to get my adept achievement, I had a stack of 30 and it still wasn’t worth a perk slot
I did the achievement, only got like 2/6 things of undone and I only used unbound once and it only gained back the distance I created by doing the vault in the first place, so I essentially was playing the Unknown with only unforeseen (which tbf is a goat perk but still)
Straz. Think of doctor. Next time we do a custom I'll show you
No mither exists
Best perk tbf with resilience insta fast vaulthing if you can loop
Its also anti legion
Undone removes total progress , Pop goes the weasel removes current progress
Still not worth using it
what does that mean
@@OPP-tl8dc if you kick a 60% gen with pop goes the weasel and then you'll take off 30% of its current progress so instead of regressing back to 30% and regresses to 42% undone removes total progress meaning that will regress it back to 30%
@@KingJPJ*Sigh* That makes no sense. Allow me.
Undone is Total progress. If the Gen is at 50% (45 charges) and you kick it with Undone at Max stacks, Undone will remove 30% 'total' charges from the generator. Meaning, it doesn't matter what the gen is CURRENTLY at, it will always remove the equivalent of 27 charges (+5 from the kick itself).
This means if the Gen is at 50%, it would regress back down to 28 charges. Doesn't matter if the Gen is at 89 charges (99%) or 15 charges, Undone (at Max stacks) will essentially remove 32 charges no matter what.
Meanwhile, PGtW is CURRENT progress. If you kick a gen at 50% (45 charges), it loses 30% of it's current progress, which would be 15 charges (again, plus the 5 from the kick.), leaving the Gen at 30 charges. If the Gen is at 89 charges (99%), you'd do 30% of 99%, which is 26 charges (30% of 89) plus the 5 as usual. Since a Gen requires 90 charges, reducing it's progress by 31 charges is practically reducing 1/3 an entire progress bar, but ONLY if the Gen was at 99% or close.
PGtW does damage based on how far along the generator is progressed, doing more damage the more progress it has, while Undone does a flat constant damage no matter what the progress is.
@@trickyseraphim4759 I forgot to mention what percentage it was before
An easy way to fix it would be that when you kick a gen and hold e or something it activates like it has max stacks, but you can only use it once in a trial
this perk is really only useful on Doctor in Skill Check-focused builds. Obviously those are a meme but it is pretty fun to slam away 30% of a gen if you get the opportunity.
I mean you could do a merciless storm, eruption, huntress lullaby build possibly to make it worthwhile.
Using something else for doctor skill checks is just better. Even skill check doctor cant make this perk useful
On top of that, one of his perks is just trail of torment.
VIDEO THUMBNAIL AGED WELL
All i know is i was goofing off with the old Soul Chemical addon for Blight and got some value out of the perk. It wasn't the best value but it was worth it for what i was doing lolz
Unnerving Presence,Humtress Lullaby, Coulrophobia,Merciless Storm if you use these perks with Undone you could get some value out of it.
Bro shattered hope will never be topped
I would update this perk to get stacks. You have to hit them with basic attacks to make this perk the stbfl of gen regression.
The thumbnail tricked me lol
Man everyone seems to forget that Hex Ruin created a whole player gen that never misses great skillchecks
I remember coming back to the game and face Sadako's Perk i was like "Wait… this is actually easy"
I don't miss skill checks ... Unless I'm healing myself with a medkit & can't miss one. 🤣
Just got the adept unknown trophy or whatever its called and yeah that perk gets value in low skill matches but it locks the gens up very fast as well
EXACTLY, I told my friend that the build that gets it to work the best, still doesn't work much better with the perk, and actually depending on the perk you swap out could make it worse
Overcharge, oppression, lullaby and undone on doc
There you go. Overcharge skill checks pop up after the gen is done being locked making people miss often.
It’s just a buff to an impossible skill checks build that’s 99* of its reason for existing.
The issue is kicking a gen consumes the charges so you’re not stacking them up on Undone if you run Overcharge
@@luckycat8951 yah but it will line up most times. Sometimes is best to wait a little and just get the undone value over the pop.
Because undone will drop 10%+ and then overcharge will do the same if they miss. So you get pop value without pop. Plus is blocked for a little.
Pop is more so for when you don’t have stacks
Let me cook:
Play Wesker with the Portable Safe add-on
Use this build
Distressing
Coulrophobia
Unnerving Presence
Undone
Use a Midwich Offering and go for a hit and run playstyle
Wow, good thing my teammates are terrible at skill check
If I was a survivor and someone was running that perk they gonna get lots of value bc I suck at skill checks and I definitely mean I suck at them bc I can never time it right
Demi did a video where he ised an impossible skillcheck build, and got a max of 27 missed skill checks in one game, so I'm not going to complain to you, maybe it should be that you gain 10 tokens per missed skill check, or 6.
good skill checks should count to it. Great synergy with gearhead and might get value for once
you cant say that when shattered hope still exists
They need to make it so for every injure you get a singular stack maximum of like 20, as well as make it like a hex or some shit
You get more value just from the 10% penalty from the missed skilcheck
Knowing myself I'll miss 20 skill checks on my own 💀
Only time ive ever gotten it to work was with coulrophobia, and even then i didn't get full stacks.
Honestly it would be better on a jumpscare build
It's not "undone", it's just "not done with mind"
I don't think they will ever be able to top beast of prey as the worst killer perk
I thought he was going to say how pop goes was the worst perk
Ok Leroy jankins
To the people saying that it should be reworked to gain tokens when survivors hit skillchecks don’t realize the 3gen potential and the pure information that’ll make the perk give! Imagine you need to repare 1 more gen and everytime you hit a skillcheck not only would you be giving the killer info that you are indeed doing gens but you are also powering up their perk so they can get an easier pop + dead man without needing to get a hook- OR even worse; people would start to pair pop and undone and you could potentially loose half a generator in a single kick and it gets blocked
*this perk is absolute doodoo, but the comparisons to pop and pain res are slightly off. Both do 30% and 25% of a generator’s total progression, vs undone is a base 3% per skill check. So assuming undone would require 10 missed skill checks to equal one pop would mean the killer is kicking the gen at 100% each time..
I can see this perk being good for doctor
When is the last time they gave killers a good perk and didn't nerf it straight away
i wish the worst perks didn't have the coolest names. Cruel Limits, Dead Man's Switch (when it first came out) and now Undone.
Pp just doesn't miss skill checks on mid to high mmr
Should of made it to where if they miss 10 skill checks the get the ability to reduce 1 gen all the way down or to like 75%
I think bro forgot that Hangman’s Trick exists
Well technically all stacks are better then pop, this is because pop deals damage based on the current progress whilst this new perk does it of the max progress like pain res.
It should be like fast track and trigger off hooks
what if they made it so that it has 5 tokens max and a single token is worth 5 seconds gen block and 5 percent gen regression?
I actually tried to do impossible skill check builds with this and it did not make a difference in the slightest because all it takes is above average or even average survivors at best to just hit every single skill check. And on top of that if they cleanse my huntress lullaby I am already down a perk slot 🤷
I mean on inside maps its painful and if you time your shocks right them miss anyway
It would have been a better perk if it relied on survivors getting hit similar to stbfl and make it give two stacks instead on one
Have you ever tried running hang mans trick?!
Use with the presence perk
just gotta go against the survivors I get put with in solo queue every match
Yeah they should really buff this perk a quite a bit up.
Still better than Self-Care
The title says worst killer perk
They heard you complaints so they're nerfing pop and pain res.
Maybe pair it with merciless or something.
You’re supposed to combine it with pop.
I used it with doctor even with experience players it kinda worked.
I tried the impossible skillcheck doc and its on got 16 stacks max
Be decent in bottom mmr but outside of that its as useful as gum stuck to your shoe
or its foreshadowing of a new killer that has perks that make skill checks a pain
What if for good skill checks it was 1, for great and missed it was 2
wouldn't it work with doctor tho?
i have like 40 something hours and play at the lowest ranks and i have yet to see these playes miss 10 skillchecks in an entire game
Undone is such a good survivor perk
It should get tokens when survivors miss skillchecks AND when they loose a health state by any means.
Boom, fixed.
Why would I use this when Pop exists? The only killer who could probably make this perk work is the doctor. But why would I use undone on doctor when I can use pop?
Sadako was the last killer to have good gen perks
You can only get value from this while playing against beginners, who tend to miss skill checks sometimes.
On high MMR you can get 1-2 missed skill checks max.
It also counters itself cuz the gen won’t regress while it’s blocked 😂
Laughs in skillcheck Doctor
There are so many better perks you could use for skill check doctor builds.
@@GnG_Gaming no not really.
@@cdxxlxil9159 yes really
Could be half decent on a Coul Doctor. Then again so would Surge
Bro, making this into a build, it's INSANE people sleeping. I've tried it, and survivors never get gens done
It is not worth it such a bad perk and there is no build or killer that makes it viable
@adyghena except there is? I mean I get mad value everytime, might just be me but everytime I make a build with it I 4k coz gets don't get done 😅
@@ClancyRayvin-cl1ss are we talking about the same perk ?
@adyghena pretty sure. It's seems pretty useful when I use it, but I'm not really a DBD geek, and I play more causally, so maybe it's different from your perspective lol.
@@ClancyRayvin-cl1ss I am devotion 10 total and I am not saying it to brag but from my perspective at higher levels survivors don't really miss skill checks even with lullaby on pc with 120 Herts it's easy to hit skill checks even with no game volume now doctor with full skill check build might be different I've not played much killer recently ill defo try it
I'm kind of glad I don't play this game for two reasons:
1. Behaviour has no clue how to make this game playable for new players
2. Behaviour makes this game completely uninteresting for skilled players.
This results in a game that takes way too long to grind for perks and then when you finally have everything you want to get going you end up in a game that has no skill expression making it a boring game once you finally get to a point where you're satisfied you have perks.
It should've been "skill check hits".
Bro forgot about Beast Of Prey
Impossible skill check doctor: hola
(Yes, I know what he said, but I’m still commenting this)
I get a lot of value from this perk and i dont really mind it
*Hangman’s has left the chat*
Doesn't losing a skill check take you back 10%?
Really. That's crazy. Cause this perk is great
This didn't age well lol. Now PGTW is the most useless gen pressure perk, AGAIN, after the most recent nerf.
Not even worth using pop or pain res anymore, where you have to actually travel to an area to get value for it, having to actually USE it, at this point its best to have passive slowdown like Thana + Dying Light, and maybe Ruin if you get a good hex spawn but still a major risk of wasting a perk slot. At least with those perks you don't have to do anything other than play the game like you normally would but only watch for hooking the obsession til the end.
What about that perk what is like save the best for missed Hits?...thats way more useless in my opinion
It probably be good with doctor
Buff it by merging it with unnerving and make unnerving map wide
U mean predator is still out there....😂
They have to, you can't make all the perks amazing. Unforeseen is amazing so having a dud perk like this balances it out.
At least it’s still better than septic touch
Wait a second do you not get the joke? 33.3333 repeating of course- LEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOYY JENKINSSSSS
Hangman's trick is worse
It does the job of two perks, so cut your values in half.
Its still terrible, but only half as terrible as you claim.
Perk is Undone.
Not worst than Sceptic touch.
No, shattered hope and beast of prey both still exist
