This is one of my all-time favorite pieces of music, and it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it play. Though I have many years ahead of me, I plan to listen to this composition, as the last piece of music to grace my mortal ears in my final moments of life, as I prepare to meet my maker. You've done an absolutely incredible job here!
I hear what you are saying - I have similar fantasies about the music that is going to play at my funeral. This tune is so simple, yet the harmonizations are heart-stopping, it's just incredible. I am glad you like the interpretation, it's a bit unusual :)
I feel this is really a new dimension of J. S. Bach interpretation, boldly transcending the common boundaries. The video material fits perfectly. And then it is over so soon... Please please explore this avenue the door of which you just opened!
I really enjoyed this, OrzoMondo. Your intro/outro additions were great and blended in well. As for the melody; thank God for Bach's various harmonisations! I certainly don't relish the tunes themselves, but as with Graham's recent Rameau upload, when a synthesist can perform such marvels with new and exciting sounds - well, it makes it all worthwhile!
Glad you enjoyed it! It wasn't my intention to make it sound so "industrial", but once I got fixated in that big initial glissando there was no way out :)
OrzoMondo, cosa stai faccendo? Adding more perfection to perfect Masterpieces? I never thought it was possible, you too are a genius on top of a genius,

Thank you Andreas! I certainly intend to :)

Grazie molte!!!
I love that dark bass, the end!! I'd love to see what you might do with Liebster Gott , the chorale at the end of BWV 8
Too much stuff to do, too little time :) I am currently suffering through the fugue St. Anne (BWV 552), but it ain't coming right yet :/
❤
Would you please consider doing a cover of "wenn soll es doch geschehen" from the Ascension oratorio, BWV 11?
Oh, that one is absolutely beautiful! I have to find the right inspiration, but why not? :)
