I don’t think they got those awards 100% correct but Kendrick is the best the genre has to offer and definitely deserves Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. However, it’s quite foolish to elude J. Cole for Best Lyricist or First Person Shooter for Best Music Video. Overall, I think the responses on this video validate the claims of pandering b/c it’s clear certain people will accept nothing less than blind Kendrick support; to be clear he is the best on the planet.
