The Heart Part 6 is my favorite. A grown man recognizing his roots and continued respect and love from his day ones. Thwy say hip hop doesn't need a certain rapper BUT in todays world it absolutely need Kendrick.

It is so helpful to the culture and hip hop when we can have constructive discussions like this. I appreciate your truthful & balanced perspective. Kendrick definitely deserves his flowers and has earned them!
heart pt. 6 is the type of story Drake could never tell about his own life and come-up. "Not Like Us" FYI, the SWV song was written by Pharrell Williams and produced by The Neptunes.

Yes I would agree he’s not dissing lil Wayne. It definitely feels like Kendrick is like “really Wayne really?” My whole career we’ve been cool and I have giving you your flowers but now that I’m the next generation which you co-signed, and I’m out here doing amazing things by keeping hip hop alive, now all of sudden your mad at me?. This what Kendrick is thinking and he’s not even blaming Drake for lil Wayne thinking this way. Kendrick just as confused as the rest of us. Thats why the Nas line hit so hard, because Nas is another amazing and great MC that got “hate” for taking down Jayz and especially when he dropped his latest 6 albums and won his first Grammy, he heard the fake praise and “hip hop” outlets not really speak highly about him and just give him back handed compliments as well. So Nas understands what Kendrick is going through and why he congratulates him on his success and on his win in this battle. Wayno keep it calm, concise and real as always. Great initial summary/review. This album was a victory lap/record on wax, a well deserved pat on his own back, a love letter to the culture and hiphop/rap and just pure expression. Maybe more than all his other albums. Just a real how Im feelin album. And you can tell it was almost entirely, if not entirely made after the pop out. Not overly complex lyrics and all current and relevant to the last years events, or during/post beef more accurately...Shit a classic already to me.
2024 was definitely the year of Kendrick. Wayne's response to this on Twitter was so corny smh. Idk why he's acting like a victim when Kendrick idolizes him.
He’s going out sad and I hate to see it. Him constantly being bitter about someone else’s shine isn’t going to keep him booked and busy or go down well in history.
