If you knew rhe story she has been close to the group for a long time. She has been friends with Solange more when they were younger but maybe after a supposeded rift, she has grown closer to Kelly. Their pictures through out the years has shown that.

@@ellestclair1204 If Hoda claims blackness or AfroEgyptian that is her right, she knows her family background. She has always identified as a woman of color, I don't know if she claims black, but there are Egyptians that claim black. I, remember when Obama was elected, she was with black reporters, and let this white reporter know, she identified with those women. Blackness is complicated, and if Hoda wants to identify with being African, black, or whatever that's her right, nobody is in her private life, we don't know what her aunts, uncles, cousins look like. And the way blackness is perceived in media and around the world, why would she identify as a woman of color, knowing the hardships it comes with. Folks want to deny Hoda her blackness, but spend 24/7 trying to elevate the Kardashians to honorary black women, and invite white celebs to an imaginary cookout.
Hoda doesn't wear weaves so I think she was lost in the dark when LaLa was explaining it. It wasn't that she was denying being African although she has features of a black woman my opinion look.at her full figured lips, nice thick skin. There is a picture of a young Hoda when she was in high school online and she looked more like a black girl then than she does now.

My cousin was a celebrity hairstylist, during the 80s she talked about white actresses would walk the red carpet, and then go to an area, in which the hairstylists would place a wig on top of their heads. And what about the Entertainment reports of white actresses wearing extensions for the Summer, or for occasions. There's no way Hoda could work 5 days a week, under the studio lights, wash and press and curl, and her hairdresser hasn't used extensions, or protective wigs or even suggested she wear those things to protect her hair. Hoda is a seasoned woman, she's not ignorant to hairstyles, etc. Stop acting like black women are the only women that wear weaves. We're just the only group that discuss it openly, but every female group knows about wigs, weaves, clip-on, etc. Stop trying to clown black women. So, even if she doesn't wear weaves she knows about weaves.
