I really wanted to do something that wasn’t stereotypical go-to-rural-Ireland with a big field and a cow, so I’m glad I managed to find that the chicken fillet roll thing haha
From the window of my gym I saw a man that looked like Ciarán Carlin stumble through a park with a chicken fillet roll, now it makes sense. Shame tho he didn't get a spice bag!
i would love to agree with you but since tayto changed the oil for "health" reasons, they taste nasty! they used to be the best crisps anywhere, but now i wouldn`t touch them and i don`t understand why they are so bad, other crisps changed their oil at the same time and it had no affect on the flavour but tayto taste rancid.
Me and the wife love Dublin we've been twice and our favourite thing was the traffic lights too and the people were hilarious we will go back one day 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
The “big batty gyaldem” edited on the bus was a classy touch 😂😂 Thoroughly enjoyed this. The shots of the airport felt like an old school Neistat vlog, loved it.
I'm not Irish, but I've been living in Ireland for nearly 20 years (so the Irish tell me I'm part of the furniture now), and I've always struggled to pronounce the name Ciarán. Apparently I'm able to say it now, but I still break in hives whenever I'm about to do it. It ain't easy 😁
there is no pub in Dublin that will serve you a pint of Guinness that is nicer than it's countryside counterpart - Kerry and Clare have the best pints of stout Respect & Peace ☘
A lot of people say the gravediggers is the best pint of Guinness in Ireland so I’m not so sure about that! But definitely better off in the countryside for a guaranteed decent pint
I was born in Ireland in 1943 and came to England in 1952 I was in High Park for the Coronation of the Queen I go back to Ireland nearly every year and what I see is nothing like the Ireland I left behind all those years ago it’s become like like England destroyed by too many different cultures and the people want everything for nothing in any country you should only get what you have given to that country to make it what it is
You did the stereotypical tourist thing and just went to Dublin! Next time go to any other part than just Dublin to get a true sense of Ireland. Good luck!
When I was in ireland I thought the taytos were pretty bad too; kinda stale and oily. Until I had a pack from the pub near where I was staying. They were 10000000x better and it wasn't just because of the 4 pints of guiness id put away either.
I did the opposite journey and ended up a true Irish man, served in Irish army still alive and proud of what I did, saved the lives of two my comrade's.
The best Guinness in Ireland is in Galway. It's funny when you mention about your name, because it was the first think I thought of when you said your name at the start lol
Oh my god my mum is irish and was born here and my dad was born here which he isn't irish and my nan and grandad was irish and move where I was born and I was born where I was instead of ireland YASSSSSS YA
Loved seeing your take on Dublin, it reminded me of bringing my girlfriend back home for the first time! The chicken fillet roll is life! Next time you go back, gotta get a spice bag after all that drinking!
I am visiting my family in Ireland from England at the moment! My mums side being from here and my nan and grandad being from Ireland and meeting in England. My family are from Tipperary and meath. I have always felt a pull back to Ireland and it feels like a second home to me! I visit every chance I have and just think it is a beautiful country!
Ciaran (Key-raw-n) or (Key-raun), you MUST open the Tayto bag upside down, or shake it upside down before opening, to spread the seasoning around the crisps, it makes a huge difference!
Funny thing about that fada, it completely changes the pronunciation of your name. Your name, as you pronounce it, is spelled Ciaran, kieran (angloscised) etc. However, Ciarán is pronounced "keer-rawn", the fada makes the "a" take on a "aw" sound.
Mean this with no offense or backhanded complement but as far as funny weird goes you're pretty good at it Cairan. Hope it takes off for you soon. Enjoy the content.
% doesn't mean anything if your family and yourself is not born and raised in ireland (thats like saying im italian because my grandad had pasta that one time when he went to italy)
I'm born English, Parents are both Irish. I've worked/lived here since 1980. I'm still called a plastic Paddy ( funny when u see whats in it now) and for that I AM English. Even after all this time..Slaine
If you're used to the London rental market, then Dublin will certainly feel like home

NZ, too.
