the best place to go shirt hunting in AMS are the flea markets at the NDSM werf, every saturday and sunday. All the vintage shops are quite underwhelming to find some real gems
FC Twente (Dutch club from Enschede) is Schalke's 'partner club' if you will. You always see comments from each others fanbases on their social media and fans of the other club in the stadiums. Maybe you'll have some luck in Enschede
Most clothes donated at charity bins in the UK end up at a recycling centre in Holland then redistributed to other outlets to be resold. ie Retro and vintage clothing.
Oh my I whish it was me who found that yellow (2003?) Feyenoord away shirt you saw at the thrift shop, it is true retro and that sponsor is one of the legendaries and yellow is an odd color for our away kits. Wouldve been worth the money (for me at least)
You should have gone to the KLABU store on the Haarlemmerdijk, really cool football shirts, and the proceeds of the shirt sales go to supporting refugees.

I have mixed feelings towards them. If the shirt is too mangled/ruined beyond recovery from a bad nameset/already defective from the factory/a DHGate knockoff/et cetera; then fair game. Ruining perfectly good original items, in the other hand; is a no-no for me.
