  • This video compares the 7 most common C class boxes to be found out there in the wild.
    I am just talking in this case about the plastic variety and not the shorrock or other metal boxes.

      I’ve got 4 type c boxes now, 2 A1 2 CQR
      I’ve also got 2 type S boxes

    I've never seen a gardtech one

      There used to be loads in Nottingham. At least 3 alarm companies used them, K alarms, Bar alarm and W E C (West Bridgford Electrical) used them. Red opal and yellow respectively.

      NONE in my home town but theirs tons of c boxes

      Maybe it all depended on what the alarm company preferred. Gardtech made polycarbonate and polypropylene boxes.

    So did cqr start the c type boxes

      I can't say because long before the plastic boxes there were numerous metal C boxes and at least 2 styles of vents meaning at least 2 manufacturers or one manufacturer that subtly changed the spacing of the vents.

      @@audiotron1003 so why did loads of manufacturers start making c type boxes why couldn't they just make their own boxes
