I love Pat. I really do. There is no denying all the incredibly charitable things he has done for the world. Including writing two major influential fantasy books. I don't care if book 3 takes long, I can be patient for it and the day it does come out I'll be there in line, night of, to pick it up. Its only out of love and concern when I say I do wish he just kept his promises. I don't want to see people criticize my favorite author anymore. I am tired of defending him when people say he's a scammer because I know he's not. We don't need voice actors to read the chapter, and the reason we are frustrated is because we love him and the incredible story of Kvothe.
This is the dumbest shit I have ever read. He didn't gift you a free set of books you had to buy them to enjoy them. They where not charitble gifts, oh and speaking of his "charities" he pays himself 80k a year from all those charity donations he set up. Oh yeah lets not forget to mention that he set up a charity donation and then reneged on his donation promises and a year later has yet to fullfil a single fucking charity tier level for the massive amount of charity he recieved. Pat is a grifter and a piece of shit liar and a year later has yet to fill his charity promises to his fanbase. Disgusting pos needs to be sued.
You need to grow a fucking brainstem
A third book would be a gift to the world, and would expand Pat’s influence and therefore ability to affect change through charitable efforts.
Hopefully thats why he's ramped down the charity since October 2022

y'all don't realize how much he cares about people. he can be a dick about ungrateful welps and entitled readers, i get it, he's not the most well-spoken engager of his audience. but this is always at the heart of Kvothe's story and Pat's personality: he wants to help the world become a better place

This dude is literally giving back to his community or the world. If he wants to focus on that then nobody should complain. Hes trying to help others.

Fraudster is more apt. Charging his charity an enormous amount to rent space in his home. Lying to his fans by promising things to them in exchange for donations to said charities, then refusing the deliver on any of his promises. Aggressively banning and being dismissive towards anyone in the community who calls him out on his borderline criminal behavior.
He is a former author at best. Anyone who believes he qualifies anymore hasn't been paying attention.
Attention hog exploiting "charity" for clout.
