    As a child, I dreamed of having my own personal flying machine to get to school, and now in my 50's the dream has come true! Very cool concept.

      You can hear it on this video: ruclips.net/video/ZgMahPAUVhc/видео.html We find the sound quite soothing.

    • @dannichols6261
      @dannichols6261 5 лет назад +1

      Yes. Best to mute the sound on this one. And the switching from different viewings is too abrupt, should have had one *long* view of it flying so people could actually see it maneuvering moment by moment.

    Answering to Felix Sagined's comment: They combined all the advantages of a helicopter: vertical takeoff and landing, leaving away disadvantages like : difficulty to fly a helicopter, high maintenance-costs of helicopters, low security due to the single main-rotor and the dangerous rear-rotor, mechanical maintenance of the pitch-changing-system, autorotation of helicopters more difficult to handle than the integrated parachute in the Volocopter (which is impossible in a helicopter) etc... . Lots of new ideas in aviation have been tried out in scaled models first, even nowadays in wind canals, models follow the same principals as full-scale planes if you adapt the Re-number adequately. It is true that the hardware-assistance has been developed first in model multicopters (called "drones"), as lots of other ideas. Model airplanes and helicopters are not toys but technically highly developed machines. Of course the blades produce aerodynamic lift, otherwise it couldn't fly.

    最失敗的就是那些外置的風扇。旋轉的時候像一把利刀,很容易受傷,很容易傷到人。設計者沒考慮這個問題嗎?
    The most unsuccessful ones are the external fans. When rotating, it is like a sharp knife. It is easy to get hurt and hurt people. Didn't the designer think about it?

      In reality they are not allowed to fly above 50 metres over ground with pilot aboard. That is because they have no Parachute Rescue System. This volocopter is a joke!

  • @adlapl

    The funny thing is, that we in fact talk about helicopters or multicopters. Are you sure that this is really a new concept? (do your own research) And if not - then what stopped/constrained its wide-spread use? What?!

      I agree. I am still waiting for someone to appear flying in one of these. I think they're making money from RUclips views and never had plans or the ability/strength to carry a person.

    Ok, you do not allow negative comments... This looks like it was designed by a 10year-old, you combined all the disadvantages of a helicopter keeping only the advantage of vertical takeoff. You have low efficiency due to many small rotors, no blade momentum due to low blade mass, no aerodynamic lift, low agility due to control only via change in RPM, no autorotation. Non-academics with to much money simply scaling up toy-technology... look at what intelligent people at universities came up with for electric vtol.

    • @alfonsocanales7210
      @alfonsocanales7210 6 лет назад

      man..... it's electrical, you need small rotors like those instead of a big one...... what do you mean when you say autorotation? if that's turning the helicopter then you are wrong, haven't you seen how drones work?

    I'm a big fan of your product and plan to own one. However I thought I'd mention that your choice to put the camera above the rotors with them being in the shot the whole time was a terrible marketing idea and really a terrible idea regardless.
    You give the impression that the view you are seeing is from a passenger or pilots point of view. Knowing that is not the case only makes the video worse knowing that you could have taken the shots from the vantage point of what it's like to travel in your product. Nobody cares what the rotors look like in flight.
    Nobody except the engineer that made them. You promise the viewer a look at Dubai and you clutter it with something that would not be experienced by a passenger. Why spend the time and money to take your rig to Dubai only to ruin the shots of dubai with props in the view. We used to shoot aerial video that way in the 30's. But that's absolutely the most unprofessional way to shoot an aerial video you could come up with if you're doing it to promote your product.
