wow what a nice furnace that shop has. Can even pour it into the mold within the same unit sealed while continuously pumping argon. exactly what you need to make that purple gold efficiently
I am used to all the process but purple gold coming out of aluminum with gold alloy is something I have never seen during my gold jewelry career !

@@TankBmore a cuban chain goes through alot of stress, they pretty much violently bend the links, crush them and then file them to get that look, They could try plating 24k gold with purple gold but im not show how friendly purple gold is to being held in a solution aluminum is very reactive. I wish it could happen it would look amazing

It wasn't the cloth that was expensive it was the dye that's extremely hard to make and it's still the most expensive dye in the world today that's still legally sold
I was watching someone try to make purple gold in a good quality and was very difficult. He ended up getting it down pretty well and made a solid purple gold ring. Well done to you guys 👏

This was definitely inspired by NileRed's video from a few months ago. I know he wasn't the first to discover purple gold, but he's probably the first to make it go viral. If you watched NileRed's video, you would understand that purple gold is extremely difficult to work with.

As a civil engineer I had no idea they could use CAD to design jewelry too, we use that to design streets, sidewalks and underground utilities all the time.

Run a few more pieces and your polisher will work out the finishing a little bit better.
It is very brittle so it's a lot harder to get a very smooth finishing...it would look so cool as a ring but a ring gets banged so much, clients would just keep complaining because they'll break it.
Or maybe encased into another metal that protrude around the gold to protect it or something like that.

You can make the gold even more purple, but basically the more purple it is the more brigthle it is and making this very precise Jesus face would be really hard, basicaly the Argon need to be mixed very precisely or there would be "bubbles" in the final product...
