Been using Rhino for 3 years at uni, always exporting to illustrator to fix/play with line weights (especially hatches). Never even thought of using a hatch pattern in surface mapping. Thank you king great videos. You are truly a Rhino speed-run master
I've been considered the Rhino Guy in every office ive worked in, and if you are this good, you are better than 99.99999% of Rhino users. Absolute RHINOGOD.
There should be simple files available with the whole setup as an example available. Yes, showing this works but building this setup would greatly benefit people out there if you 'sell the files' or make them available somehow. Examples SAVES lives. Yes your knowledge and time deserves money AND recognition.
Thanks. Spectacular content. You saved me: I'm doing the design for a scenography in record time. With this system I can bypass two of my colleagues and bring everything already mapped into adobe indesign for presentation and lasercutting files
Would you be willing to sell your display modes? I know a lot of people might be interested in them. Also a document with your macro keys. I’ve been using rhino for four years and your content is gold.
@2:29 That will change me a lot. I have been on work flow of.. Hide in detail, Show in detail, Make the object as block, assign it to other layer. Hide layer in detail, Show layer in detail, ...Never check out those field for properties for layers in the last column. .Layout/Detail - On/Off - Display Color - Print Color - Print Width You're a gold mine, Now I can make gold alloy. @4:24 D'mn agree, why not came in default. Dont miss this guys... I have not use Illustrator for ages.
Dude I'm sorry I know I posted a comment already this year but please post more rhino tutorials everything you've shown so far has increased my workflow so much
Hey Niko, thank you for making us see how it is thinking outside the box. Would be very cool if you did an update on this kind of video now that Rhino 8 has new special effects for sections and stuff. Thank you mate
Hello Niko. What an extremely useful tutorial! But I have great difficulty choosing the correct display mode to change the print width and color, as you showed: not all Rhino display settings allow this feature. I would be very grateful if you could share with us your own display configuration... Thank you very much
Wow!Amazing job. The only thing I concern about is the final output, like you say, it's not a vector drawing. So in the previous video, do you print it in layout or use ViewCaptureToFile?
Is there an equivalent "loadout" option for custom views with multiple "SetDisplayModes" similar to layers using LayerStateManager? I kinda want to flip in and out of views on command but don't want to set the displayviews again and again.
In Rhino 8, my line weights are not showing when using the Clipping Plane. Objects such as dimensions are showing their correct line weights, but objects that are cut by the Clipping Plane are not. Any thoughts?
Check this video here for custom display mode settings: ruclips.net/video/ywKGccJYA78/видео.html The setting you are looking for is under Objects > Dynamic Display > Dynamic Display usage: Display object's bounding box.

I need more content Niko, give us more!
You have a lot of experience... Can you you recommend some book or video tutorials for Rhino beginners?
Hello Niko. What an extremely useful tutorial! Any idea on how to print the background colour as well?? 😶🌫
1. under print settings > visibility > check off background color
how do you make it so when you rotate your object, the object becomes wireframe? i see youre doing it to reduce resource overload on performance.
Check this video here for custom display mode settings: ruclips.net/video/ywKGccJYA78/видео.html
The setting you are looking for is under Objects > Dynamic Display > Dynamic Display usage: Display object's bounding box.
FASTTTT
One tutorial where I actually have to play it slower
