Almost everything about the interview was bizzare, in the first ten minutes Putin said the take over of territory is just because it's Russia anyway, - there is a historic claim. He talks of the formation of Russia, expelling the golden hoard, and the addoption of territories into Russia.
But if we believe his claim that Russia has a claim to Ukraine as these are once conquered lands, then we must also state that most of eastern Russia is actually China - because history, most of central and eastern russia hould be Mongolia? - but he would not say this, thus his stance is bizzare and illogical.
We could go through the whole interview talking about how it is bizzare, either illogical, one sided, or simply a lie.

I'm afraid that would not support global US hegemony., so will not happen. the US uses NATO as a force multiplier and adds to its >800 military bases across the world. the US profits from arms sales but its big mistake is believing that Russia can be harmed by sanctions. Sanctions are a blunt weapon and only work against poor, underdeveloped countries, which Russia certainly isn't. This conflict has exposed many weaknesses in the NATO alliance which will depend if its allowed to continue.

I don’t know anything about whether Zaluzhny failed onnthe battlefront but he certainly failed on the political front. He did a great disservice to his country by underming Ukraine's military position publically and therefore made Zelenskyy's attempts to garner international support more difficult.
There are sound arguments as to why mobilising 500 000 people for the army may not be a good idea both economically and geopolitically and there's rumours that it is very unpopular domestically. There are always those who will not or cannot fight and given the ineffective support internationally, Ukrainian people have to ask themselves whether they want to continue or want to negotiate. This would be a terrible outcome with dire consequences but it is reality.
Democracies have failed Ukraine and by doing so have failed to fight for the very values they insist is at their core.

This was never supposed to be a major military conflict. The plan was to destroy Putin through sanctions.
At the time, I expected it would, and that Putin would ve forced to negotiate or even lose his grip on power as Russia entered a bleak depression.
I was wrong, but I'm an electrician, and I assumed that the experst knew their stuff.
