Great tutorial, Luciano! As a Muslim, I have to cover my face and head with a scarf everyday. This is very similar to the way I tie my veil, and also to the litham/tagelmust worn by North African men. Fica muito melhor ajustada do que as maneiras de amarrar o shemagh encontradas por aí na internet (tanto é que aqueles me vêem logo correm para perguntar: "cara, ensina a fazer essa amarração aí?").
Being not recognisable is not the only purpose of the mask. The more important purpose is to be as invisible in shadows and against the night sky as possible by covering up skin. With the amount of forehead you left uncovered, you may as well not wear any mask at all.
I never said, ninjutsu is a costume. However, 90% of the time, a ninja would not be wearing the mask at all. WHEN they wear it, however, it is to cover up as much skin as possible, not merely to make the face unidentifiable.

Ninjutsu isnt a costume and some itens you wear. For hiding, ninjas use Ongyo jutsu and Gotonpo instead of just wearing dark cloths.
