I love this... Sounds like they combined some of the older cadences with the newer themes... Brought back the bass solo... Reminds me of the good old days
@tylerjusto Hey dude. I've been looking for the music for the original third section of the cadence, called Bleu Building, for a long time. I have Bleu Raiders, Bleu Bells, and Bleu Bass, but Building is the one I'm missing. I play tenors. Any chance you still have it? Thanks!!

ngl every tenor took an L except for maybe Tenor #1... Middle Tenor was getting it until the second cadence kicked his butt. someone forgot to do their drum home work lol (but tbf they hardly ever played that cadence... first time I've seen it performed in decades. I thought they forgot it, altogehter)... the snares and the bass did their thing though
I was a member of the Bleu Raeders Drum & Bugle Corps. The first half of the cadence LSU is (and still plays) playing is our cadence which was written by Marty Hurley, our instructor, who later went to Phantom Regiment. Those of us who were in the Bleu Raeders are honored that LSU still uses our cadence and still calls it “Raeders,” the second half of their cadence being called “Blue Bells.” Members of the Bleu Raeders marched LSU in the 70’s, therefore bringing them the cadence. University of New Orleans, Ole Miss, and others, at times, used our cadence. I hope LSU never stops using it!!!! It keeps the Bleu Raeders alive!

What happens when your drum line is funded, everyone shows up for practice, and they don’t act like hooligans the whole time.
it wouldn't be a drumline if they didn't act like hooligans the whole time

Unheard of
Not at my high school. I try to keep them in check as the center snare and I gave up a while ago lol
Or this is a college drumline.
The far left tenor helps out at my high school every once in a while
Im going to be the first to point out ol boi behind center snare @ 00:10 HAHAHA!!!!

This line looks like it would have been fun to have played in. Really solid drumming and a good time.
Love when they all come together with the fans shoulder to shoulder. Golden Band always gets me hype.
Haven't heard this version in a while awesome videos

That snare line though. whoa!
Very cool cadence. Great energy from the drummers. That was tight.
Hahahahaha "ROLL TIDE DEEZNUTZ"!!! Hahahahahahahaha
I’m digging this. Got that nice New Orleans type bounce to it but hey it’s LSU whaddya expect!! :D

2nd tenor player from left is lost. (1:55)
Is there a reason LSU never accepts challenges from other drumlines?
Yes. The mindset is: "Never lower yourself to your opponent's level." There's not another drumline can hold a candle to LSU's drumline.
@@marcustullis245 Loser mentality.

Those are the most perfectly tuned tenors I’ve ever heard.🥲
Does anyone else hear 1:44 the cavaliers tenor feature in their drum break from 2008
Yup! That's exactly it, just a easier version. Nice catch!

“Roll Tide deez nuts” oh LSU... (this comment was posted after the shutout by Alabama on November 3rd, 2018)
LSU exacted revenge 3 years later after that game.
Could someone please tell me where I could get the sheet music to the original cadence?
Anyone out there? I'm dying for the tenor music for the Bleu Building part!!
Don't have the blue building music but I have sheet music for the other three cadences. Just pm me your email and I'll send them to you.

this would sound better if the tenors were using mallets instead of sticks

Tenor mallets with nylon ends are too pingy and bright
