His death got his wife name written all over it. With a boyfriend who's a police officer or former police officer, it would be easy for him to dictate the crime and tell Al's wife exactly what to do and say. No robber I know would leave a wallet and jewelry or leave a house unranshack plus, the robber shot Al five times, sounds like an over-kill to me.
Everywhere Clive Davis goes, there's a trail of death and destruction. I hope you'll do the Phyllis Hyman story one day, he did her dirty too! Great as usual.
I 💙 STAX RECORDS! Their recording artists were the BEST! From Sam & Dave to Rufus to Isaac....and I could go on and on. Thank you for doing this piece on Al Jackson! Stay well!
Ok so I'm confused. He had invested in oil wells. He owned a gas station, but he continued to live with his wife who had shot him in the chest, and his apartment wasn't ready for him to move into. So there was only one apartment building in the whole state? Plus he had money like that. Why wasn't he buying a freaking house?
Hell Why Not Stay In A Hotel Or With A Friend Or At A Family Members House Before Staying With A Wicked Cheating Wife That Shot You In The Chest Months Earlier And Eventually Had Set You Up To Be Murdered Something Is Wrong With That Picture🤔
I promise, you're the only channel that I subscribe to and hit the Lil bell! Don't wanna miss any of these! You're damn good at this! I'll be waiting for the next!
I absolutely love celebrity under rated!!!! It is informative, entertaining, interesting and not to long… and whoever the narrator is is so soothing it’s amazing he talks me to sleep almost every morning. I don’t know his name but “we go together “
Third to comment. Love you’re channel and videos however I wish you did more and often. I know it takes time but it’s so interesting and intriguing. Anyway, keep up the good work 😘👌🏽
Seems Clive Davis has a close connection with artists ;that he once made money offf and when it dried up or he couldn't get any more money out of." They died"
Thanks for doing this program about Al Jackson Jr. One of the great drummers of all time. Jackson also produced some great albums like Albert Kings " Years Gone By" which just fuckin kills..its soo good. But 9f course Jacksons style, is timing and his riffs were the stuff of greatness. Poor Al, i always wondered what happened to him, i appreciate all this detail. In the long run though he was lucky to play for the greatest..Otis. and they were all lucky as shit to have him as their drummer. Watch him play with Otis onbthe videos out there and you will see the master of them all.
Al Greene was lucky the crazy woman didn't kill him she only used hot grits there is a story about her on celeberity underrated her name was mary woodson watch her video for the story.
Thank you for making this. Al Jackson Jr was my grandfather. It brings a smile to my face knowing his legacy continues. Barbara was his second wife and not my grandmother. We have our own opinions on that morning. Won't get into that. R.I.P granddad.
Wow. Another Excellent episode. So much I didn't know. RIP Al Jackson Jr. Your music made me happy. You made the world a better place while you were here....
Great story on Al Jackson Jr. I enjoyed watching it and he was the greatest drummer of all time. And also i love STAX records. Keep up the good work and hope you still do on Damian Dame, David Ruffin Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, Ali Ollie Woodson from The Temptations, cast of The Jefferson , Sanford and Son, Different Strokes and Gerald Levert. Strive for Excellence.
Oh, so those are the names and faces of their Awesome sounding Jams/Tunes. I could hear their music 100 years from now and it would still sound fresh and new. What incredibly, beautiful and timeless music these Dudes made.:) So another Great Docu Guy, I never made the connection of Otis R to the MGs.
Al Jackson, Jr. was a master drummer! His protégé Howard Grimes did damage at Stax too on AL Green albums. Still listening to this timeless artist in 2020!
you are a great content creator and excellent story teller I truly appreciate your awesome hard work and research keep the videos coming although I never heard of him before but thanks for sharing his story it was very interesting I thoroughly enjoyed peace RIP Al Jackson Jr. I will leave it at that.
I never heard of this man but this is a crazy story sounds like his wife may have something to do with it. Very sketchy being also they have a history of domestic violence.
I've been married 15 years. I'm not going to lie, when we were in year 5, we argued a lot. but if she had shot me, it would be obvious to my mind that she ain't the one and I would have, as they said back then", "split". The tragedy is what was taken from the rest of the world. He seemed likely to continue his success as a drummer and who knows what hit songs he could have been connected to. Tragic story for sure.
Love that Green Onion song. Another conspiracy theory . Another end to a great artist. This goes on in that industry too much. Anyone he was an amazing drummer. RIP Al Jackson.
Again another great video💯..But no tv Bio, investigation story or documentary on this artist?? I see Clive Davis was- again in the 'mix' of another deadly tragedy👿.
I anticipate every episode of Celebrity Underrated. Al Jackson favors an actor I can pic in my mind. But I don't know his name. Willie Tyler, the ventriloquist, comes to mind. He's not who I'm thinking is Al's twin. They do sort of favor, a little. Someone let me know who you think it is.

New to me too!
I never heard of, or knew his name, but Boy did I hear his MUSIC!:) Be Blessed:)

That's what I LOVE about this channel. How much it informs me of unspoken artists and celebrities I knew NOTHING about.

Right! Especially if he initially asked for money why would he then leave empty handed 😏
@@CathFerook My point exactly!
@@CathFerook And he called Al by his name....irs obvious is wife told her boyfriend all about her husband
Exactly.
So much anger in this world. Which goes to show that fame and fortune doesn't erase the darkness.
Makes it more prevalent
One the most underrated story tellers does it again 💯✊🏽💣💥
All i know is im not living in the same house with someone who just shot me in the chest. RIP Al Jackson Jr.
Willy Beeman true he should’ve took his ass to a hotel

Facts
I see that also, along with Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin and so many others
He doesn't look like death warmed over for nothing.
Yes he did. Drove that woman crazy.
Yes I loved her music, all suspicious to me
These episodes get better and better. Amazing how there are common threads and links to some of these individuals.
I 💙 STAX RECORDS! Their recording artists were the BEST! From Sam & Dave to Rufus to Isaac....and I could go on and on. Thank you for doing this piece on Al Jackson! Stay well!
Yes! That was our Saturday morning cleaning music😁
My dad rest his soul use to bump those old jams when we were little ones. Miss those days.
Great records came out of Stax. Too bad they screwed over artists
Good lawd you're beautiful HelluvaChic
@@eugenedantzler4485 awww thank you so much! 💛
Hands down one of the funkiest drummers of his era...he sits between Clyde Stublefield & Jabo Starks...
You're a good narrator great voice for it
Yes u are
Quiet Storm 821 just can’t pronounce words!!
He really is
@MGTOW3X FREEDOM I have fallen in love with it.
@@hadbl12 he does have issues with that but it makes me like his videos more for some reason now.
Otis Redding was definitely before his time.
That voice, oh my 💖
I'll always grieve what we missed out on when Otis died young...
There should be a story about him as well.
Ok so I'm confused. He had invested in oil wells. He owned a gas station, but he continued to live with his wife who had shot him in the chest, and his apartment wasn't ready for him to move into.
