The Drill instructor pledge still sends chills down my spine. I remember Black Friday fondly..
Nathan I remember my Black Friday with that first SDI standing in the back as my knowledge.
Ssgt Bryner was my Senior Drill Instructor for Fox Company. He's the reason why I'm a better man now. Those kids are definitely under some excellent leadership. Those trained by him will become great Marines.
They need to show what happens after the SDI finishes his speech... the damn tornado that comes and throws everyone’s shit everywhere! You little recruits will be wearing two left foot go fasters for a week until you have the balls to to go find the other recruit that is wearing two rights!! 😂
Tim R. I wore size 9. Spend 5 days wearing size 12s.
Haha! So true
Tim R. Literally the scariest moment of boot camp right after the speech
Javier Garza cheers!! I “ feel” the pain!
T.J. Burley right??!! These moto kids are in for it! I love to see them are pumped up but they have no clue. Then it’s all over and the real fun begins. Welcome to the fleet bitches!!!
I'm Army and this shit just got me motivated Respect to all the Military hoah
Air Force here, and yea, this makes me want to do some push-ups!
@@archerpiperii2690 - Hell yeah!! DO IT!! HUA!!
other than the days my daughters were born proudest moment of my life is when I walked across the grinder 1975 at Parris Island and was called a marine for the first time
Brings back so many memories. In December it will be 29 years since I EARNED the title United States Marine. 1989-1995.
Oorah!
I respect every branch.
I respect anyone going into this hell.
I respect anybody that’s gone through BCT.
Just came back from Paris island and I can say all the pain is worth it.
You will never forget that greeting. NEVER!! Semper Fi!!
I still remember all of my DI's cadences, over twenty five years later, marching around on the grinder. With the jets taking off and landing, across the fence.
Wow….miss those days...!!! Kicked butt before breakfast, every day and all day...!!!
Thank you for your service!
Blessings to you all!
Parris Island S.C. 1976 , SEPMER FI !
I remember the first night they let us sleep, woke up looking for my phone and thinking the days prior were just a crazy dream. Snapped out of it and realized it wasn’t. Worst feeling ever. Wouldn’t do it again but im grateful i did.
Just graduated from bootcamp last Sunday. Bootcamp was pretty fun, so good luck to any who’s joining 👍
I miss bootcamp
@Mikey L this 4th phase bullshit making all these new macruits acting like they're in the fleet lmao
I’m weak af not fat but just weak can I make it?
@@kellz1703 no
Mikey L I going to bulk up before I go. I already have pretty good endurance since I did track all through out high school but I’m just not that strong physically. Thanks for your honesty.
Leaving September 24 this Sunday it's like I'm going to my own funeral lol
Good luck, remember it's all mental.
i went in 9/3/2003 and still remember this part of bootcamp like it was yesterday. Good luck
Infernal Fade I leave the same day 😂😂
Infernal Fade just don’t be a turd. Listening is the biggest thing in boot camp. Oh and scream out of your fat fuckin face too. Be prepared to get back too 😂. You’ll understand
Infernal Fade good luck 👍🍀
Gotta love those DI's. Forever boot camp schedule for them over & over & over again. Awake half the night, up by 3-4am everyday & then the PT. What a grind they put themselves through
Greatest military in the world and it makes my pround of my country GOD bless this country and HE has amen

Leaving October 28 San Diego !
Trying to leave latest by January 8th had to go to a different school to get my diploma at 16 now just waiting for my birthday on December 2nd and go to meps that same week and be in the poolee program for the 30 days and leave. I was my families first high school graduate and honestly first one to get anything done for my life. Pretty excited to be a Marine. It’s what I’ve wanted since I was a kid.
Marines don't steal? I was taught that it was my sacred duty as a Marine to steal every piece of military equipment that I could from the Doggies and the squids.
We never steal! We tactically aquire equipment.
Werdna Zenitram 😂😂
Tactically aquire...gear adrift is a gift brother lol
There Is only one thief in the marine corps, everyone else is just trying to get their shit back
I was Army...we didn't steal we just came into possession of equipment in a nice proficient military manner...respect to all that wore a uniform and made the ultimate sacrifice
Memories will always be in me1976 to 1997 20 years

Holy fuck, SSgt Song was my MAI in C Co. Nov 2016. He's now in the same unit as me. I have nothing but mad respect for the guy, and i think he's motivating as fuck. He knows when to chew your ass. I can't speak to much about him, even though we're in the same unit, he's in a different section.
Firmness, fairness, dignity and compassion 😂😂😂 I didn’t experience that in boot camp til maybe family day 🤣
Motivating
Good luck to all that are going to tango with these beast
At 1:35 how he has his hat on he reminds me of my drill sergeant back in basic.

I'm enlisting next year and I can't wait. I'm dying from the wait.
How's that Enlistment going?
@@dallasjonpaulgrove547 rarely ever hear back from anyone that says they're joining.
@@anotherarmchairhistorian2831 I mean, i joined the Military (Not the corps, the Army.) And i'm able to use a device. Especially becasue Marines get a hell of a lot more privilege's here than even those of us who have passed a phasing test. Marines are amongst the most disciplined beings in the military, but that doesn't mean they don't get to enjoy the same freedoms we do. So i'm thinking he either couldn't go through with it (which is completely fine.) or he just forgot about this post.
Can't wait to become a Marine, still waiting to ship out for boot camp!!
Leaving in 2019, can’t wait 👊🏼

Hey good luck man !
how’s it going?
I graduated Charlie company right before fox company picked up a week ago
Thank you all female drill instructors for your remarkable service but I find the male DI's more intimidating, notwithstanding, when I was in the Navy I had a female Lieutenant of our unit give a shredding dressing down to a chief who questioned her authority. She tore him apart right in front of my fellow NCO's. She was a great CO of our unit. She did not take any crap from anyone!
heffoandjuff you should’ve seen my female drill instructor much more intimidating than most of the male DI
Sounds scary! I bet she was as you said. Something unrelated, women make very good airline pilots.
Probaly at the end of her cycle of beig a DI and ready to be done with the drill field
“When I was in the navy”
Praise in public, punish in private.
I leave Monday 💪🏽
Ok just remember when you go to the fleet, don't get into a serious relationship, save your money, go 03, and volunteer, don't worry about what other Marines say, it's your carrier not there's, I'm just saying if you want to have a good fun career...
Get it !! 🇺🇸
Congrats. Future US Marine! Stick it out until the end💪
Bro I leave next Monday too!
Hit me up!
We may just see each other!
Good luck brotha it fucking sucks
I actually sat up straight when he said sit up straight
I did that once at a fallen officer's funeral. Never was military or law enforcement but when that Captain called everyone to attention, I snapped to.
So much respect for marines . Tough as fucking nails
Oh my god. Drill instructor SSGT Mcgoldrick. Was My senior drill instructor.
This is when it all starts
The last senior drill instructor at the end at 7:40 looks like my SDI SSgt Balbina. He is a legend. If he is still in the drill field, I would definitely love to work with him as a drill instructor!
Id shed i tear if i hear this spoken to me, idk if for joy or fear.
Lol that shit storm after that speech is hard.

If you cannot join the Marines then try the Army not joking some of the people I could not join the DEP, joined the Army.
June Llantada yeah if I wanted to join the military I don’t think the USMC is for me
Dayofthedaleks 152 I would say you never know unless you talk to a recruiter. You do not have to sign up just ask to get information.
I'm #13. i truly want to try out, but cant knock this kush habit
There are people who already have in their family education what the instructor says, respect, not telling lies, respect for what one is and above all respect for the uniform that you bring, respect for your nation and never betray the trust of those who give it to you .... values that every person in the world should have ... but for some, unfortunately, you have to teach them. The important thing is never and never to betray the trust of your partner and commander in battle, you start together, live together and die together ... is you don't leave anyone behind.I'm not a Marines and I'm not American, I'm Italian and I find it normal that the instructor says even without shouting ..

CONFUSED
Policy says upper arm tattoos are aloud but must be 2 inches above the elbow. But if it hangs below 2 inches right at the top of the elbow and you can still cover it with your hand its aloud
So basically what I'm tryna ask is, your aloud to join the marines with a half sleeve that goes from top of the elbow to shoulder that extends below 2 inches but as long as you can cover it, its aloud.
If you can cover it with 1 hand then its aloud
I have a forearm tattoo of Joshua 1:9 and I couldn’t cover it all they did was waver it and I had to wait like an hour and I was cleared but it’s also 4inches from the wrist and like 2 inches from my elbow so I’m sure that played a role
If not you might be able get a waiver, talk to a recruiter.
nice spells and gramer
BunnySnipes I hope you where being an ass on purpose
I’m kind of salty that at the beginning is my drill hat and now he’s a senior SSgt Bryner and they only show the beginning.

I got all the way to the physical and because of asthma, couldn't serve. I tried twice too!
That's sucks, there isn't any MOS that can give you?
Matthew Mendez doesn’t matter on your MOS, everyone goes through the same training when joining.
I appreciate these men (and women) for dedicating their lives to training this nation's warriors. Any one of them (including, probably, the female DIs) could probably beat my ass - I'm not a particularly strong guy, and I'm pretty old by now (55). Physical toughness demands physical training. However, you are training these recruits to kill people (if necessary). And that's quite another thing altogether. Killing a man is far more a matter of willingness to kill than of physical strength. So, when you try to extend physical toughness and physical demands into verbal training, you can't make that connection. The willingness to kill is not a matter of yelling, and strutting, and chest pounding. It's far more mundane. It begins first with just the willingness to decide to kill. It usually ends with the smallest of movements. And that's usually a small, quiet voice - internalized more than externalized. It sounds less like "KILL!!!", and more like, "Look. It's nothing personal. I just want this fucker dead." Training someone to take another's life is much more of a sterile, heartless, thoughtless thing to the point that it is almost trivial. Former military vet. Cold War era.

SSgt Bryner was my knowledge hat. I still don’t think he’s human.

Thanks for the credit lol
Only 70 days training, when I joined the British Army I had 22 weeks training
Anyone shipping out early January to San Diego
Drill instructor may was fierce asf
Random question are Paris Island and Camp Pendleton exactly same buildings, dimensions, rooms, etc?
Get er done
Has anyone seen a drill instructor stutter during his welcome speech?
Question: we saw a number of DIs order their recruits to "Sit up straight and look at me." But in only one clip did the recruits reply "Aye, aye, sir!" I thought this reply was appropriate because a superior is giving an order. So why didn't the recruits in the other clips respond in this way?
Fucking rah, good times
Fuck... I so wish I could have been in the military. I had a terrible recruitment officer that set me up to fail. I've talked to multiple people in the military from multiple branches and most of them said that whenever you're going in and doing all the testing right before bootcamp to always say no to certain things like, previous history of health. Mine was lower back pain from football that I could have easily gotten away if I lost more weight. I had a buddy go in with two torn ACLs and got accepted.
Holy shit
Look at all those heads grow inches! 😎
1:40 look at this dude, wohooohoh, oh no, oh no no no no. Lmao
When a ssgt now has a smaller stack than a lance 8 yrs ago...
