    I don't have a list because I've only owned and used one player, which is the Victrola 8-in-1 (in the Mahogany finish). And I've been loving it. I hear all these stories about people and their players not working anymore, but so far I've had no problems.

    Quick question are you still enjoying the U-turn orbit plus? I've been looking around to step up from the current record player I have and I love the people behind the brand and all that and how the price is not too high. Love how thorough and honest your reviews are!

    I'm looking to buy my first turn table. Im looking to be at or around $100 ish. What's going to be the best bang for my dollar? I tried to do my own research but the reviews are all over the place for each player. One guy says it's fabulous and the next guy says it's junk. Can you recommend a decent quality player? Definitely under $150

    • @Recordology
      @Recordology  5 лет назад

      Great question - I love the AT LP60 for around 70-90. And the C-100 is around 150ish. So many options! Enjoy the search.

      Huskers, You want quality for low cost, tHE Bang for your buck is, Buy a Used Turntable, you will get the quality, like Technics, turntables, pioneer, Sony, the 70's and 80's used turntables are best, as they will continue to work, I have no interests in the new JUNK.

    I think these are all good but I don't know if I can believe victrola players or any player with a ceramic cartridge have any quality. My first record player was a crosley with a ceramic cartridge that I got for free and it was good enough to get me interested in collecting records as a hobby, but I was happy to hear the jump in quality when I bought one with a magnetic cartridge.

      The rega P1 is a fantastic machine, though mine seems to be buzzing at high volumes from a grounding issue.
      It's been reviewed much better than the Project.
      I did a small upgrade to the carbon stylus with an lp gear elliptical stylus, which is a direct fit to the at3600, which is basically the rega carbon. It's improved the sound, which was already good.

    Im really liking this Crosley C100
    It reminds me of the technics that was all the rave in the 90’s (last time I owned a record player.)
    2 questions please!:
    Can I add/or does it come with a clear top “I’m amazed to see how many don’t nowadays!”
    2nd: I seen a picture of a turntable who’s turning platform was lit up! A beautiful lime green light ! 😁
    Is this a specific type of player or possibly just some kind of aftermarket customization flair you think ?

    • @Recordology
      @Recordology  4 года назад +1

      Def aftermarket on the lights.....the C100 has to use its preconfigured steel platter but you can add an acrylic platter mat.

    I never had a record player before and going to buy a very first one! I’m hesitating to buy either audio technica l60 or victrola 6 in 1 mid century. Which one do you recommend? And I know that audio technica l60 has a better sound quality, but is it a huge difference from victrola 6 in 1?

    The record machines I liked were--Magnavox/Colloro changers,Garrard,Dual,EMT Gotham(Technics SL1200-1500 and SP10-again from radio stations.radio station TT-VERY massive,rugged arm has a Q light.Russco,QRK "Q Masters" Another radio station favorite-simple idler drive machines.These often had the wood "Micro-Trak" tonearms.At home-Rega-forget its model# offhand-this is almost 30 yrs old-will need a new cartridge.For some of the radio station DJ's I dealt with-they were HARD on machines-that FP TT would be GREAT for them-or the Kenner "Close&Play" 45 RPM TTs.

    Excellent presentation, thumbs up, Record-ology. I like the Crosley C8; may buy the C6A-WA, with walnut finish. These turntables have a good tonearm, and a phono cartridge of a high caliber compared to the Audio Technica LP60, and others in that price range, and capability. Not criticizing it, I prefer a decent, upscale phono cartridge that has an elliptical stylus, or at least a conical stylus that's engineered well. Thanks for the information on the Crosley C8.

    I'm wondering if you think I should upgrade my turntable. I have a kenwood kd67f. T4p cartridge. I really like it. It sounds fine. Works great. But is there anything that will give a better sound? I have been looking at the crosley c6,c8,c200. Flurance rt81 also the atlp3. I would love a lp120. But the only downside to some of those is I really like the automatic function of my turntable. So is it worth buying a new unit or should I just upgrade the stock cartridge and that might give me what I'm looking for?
