I've had an Atom since January. Great little drone. My daughter liked mine so much she bought one too. It's amazing what these small drones can do for not a lot of money.
We have played with this more than I thought I was going to. It is cool to see stuff from above
FFA is Future Farmers of America. The regularory agency you meant to refer to was FAA ( Federal Aviation Administration)
Ha, woops. I work with some FFA stuff locally so, I goofed.
I got one months ago and flew it first time a couple days ago. Was a tad windy but really enjoyed videoing the front of my land, now awaiting a calmer day to reach out further.

Nice! In January there was some flooding in our area, and of course the low water bridge was flooded , I was able to get some pictures with my cell phone, but the use of a drone would have been able to get some awesome pictures and video , especially of the river gorge.
Drone footage would have been cool. Great idea
Trust me, they will change that. I bought a DJI drone which was 248 grams. The UK had the same rule about being under 250 grams. Because there were so many excellent drones being released under 250 grams the B'stards changed the law 6 months after I got it so now has to be registered same as my Yuneec Q500.

If you buy a potensic drone make sure you only buy from potensic or Amazon, brand new because if you purchase from a third party used, although it can be used but brand new still in the original packaging, if you don't have a potensic or Amazon sales receipt, then you don't have after sales support service, even if you buy a used drone off some one who bought it brand new last week, if you don't get the original potensic or Amazon sales receipt, they will say that they searched but cannot find you on their potensic or Amazon sales. And you won't get after sales service support. You will be charged for any parts that are faulty in your mind.

So this drone I can fly anywhere and won't need a license to fly for the kid's school?
You will still need to look up the no fly zones. There are a few sites that you can see where you can and can't fly.
You can’t fly over people as it’s not Cat1. You’d need prop guards and remote id which would put it over 250 grams anyway.

I intended to send the following to Potensic, but got blocked.. "Well. it has been 3 months and I've got no help from ipotensic to repair a damaged Atom drone. Potensic insist that I use some version of paypal. I have tried and you insist that you aren’t getting it. I asked you for the paypal address so that I could send to you the through paypal. It did not work. I got a friend with a computer to try to get through to you on their computer. They could not get through to you. Same problems that I encountered. Three month of stonewalling. It is time to say good bye to you and hello to potential Potensic customers with a potential need for your help in repair. Three months! You have to admit that I was patient. I leave you as a more cautious buyer and the owner of a broken drone as a reminder to me to be cautious when dealing with someone you do not know. " Buy with caution
