This is the best interpretation of "Syrinx" I have ever heard.
I think this is how Debussy would have wanted it to be played.
In this interpretation, I can literally hear or feel the faun who is longing for his lost love.
This is what the piece is about.

@@geo-nardo6758What if he wanted that players 100 years after his death would play it like they want to? He was quite innovative thinker after all like all great composers. Probably he'd want u to compose something on your own terms too. In conclusion, he is dead and we are not. Music doesn't belong to dead people, it's not an item in the museum but a living thing

I think this is getting a little off topic.
The above video is about Debussy’s “Syrinx” and Pahud’s interpretation thereof.
It’s not about me or what I should do or become.
First and foremost, a composition “belongs” to the composer.
Therefore, it is (in my opinion) justified to think about it, if the composer would have liked a certain interpretation
      or not.
In my opinion - which you don’t have to share - music has a TIMELESS component to it and includes living and dead people as well, especially the composer and the people who have liked the composition and for whom it had a certain meaning - no matter if those people are already dead or still alive.
      Over and out.
