    Rod bearings have been known to go before 60-70k, don't leave until then if you haven't done them. If the bearings have been changed for ones with bigger clearances, then they shouldn't need to be changed again.

      Yes the UK car tax system is totally illogical. You can buy newer cars with twin turbo V8s and the annual tax is much much less. I would have bought one of these but the unfair annual road tax stopped me. I refuse to give the UK government £630 every year for a classic car that will probably only do around 2-3000 miles per year. The government should do a discount scheme for cars that do a limited annual mileage.

    • @Curtbag1999
      @Curtbag1999 Год назад +11

      Road tax should be done on Mileage imo. Ridiculous that people who barely drive these cars are paying more than someone that’s sat in an old diesel doing 60k a year.

      @Anonymous I am not from the US. I live in London. The Uk car tax system is illogical. There are newer cars pumping out more CO2 than the E92 M3 and yet they pay less tax per year.
      Also a 15 year old classic car should have a discount scheme based on the very limited mileage it will be doing in the vast majority of cases.
