Wonderful movie. Loved watching it. Keeps one on the edge. Bob Steele's stunning as ever.
A parachute, car and the Goodyear blimp are not exactly what you'd expect to see in a 1932 Monogram western but Robert Bradbury and son Bob Steele make it all work very well.
All those things were in use by the end of WWI, while the West was still The West.
There were a LOT of Westerns made showing the Western Cowboys fighting against NAZIS using Ham Radios and Airplanes - and the cowboys mostly on horseback, living near Old Western towns which had telephone service. I haven't seen any of those in 3-5 Decades, myself.
Great Movie, would have liked a 10-15 minute Prologue for a nice sweet ending.
One of several small companies that merged together into Republic Pictures in 1935. John Wayne was the leading man at another of them, Lone Star, which had many of the same personnel.
🤠👍🏾
Different type of B-Western but the ending is terrible being there is no wrap up as to what happened.
What is with Bob, always falling off his horse
Anyone else thought this was going to be a movie about salad dressing?
No.
The Goodyear Blimp! Wonder how much Goodyear paid for that plug?
In 1932, not very much at all. Certainly not much by today's standards - it was "free" advertising for Goodyear.
And he parachutes from it. 👎👎
haha modern cowboys
A blimp in a western 👎
and cars too.13:22
Steele says early in the flick "this is the 20th century". Lot of westerns from this era feature cars, planes and telephones. So I guess the wild west lasted longer than we imagine, at least in Hollywood.
