Much better than breaking down a door and causing a $2000 repair job for the homeowner. Happened to us and wasn't cool. Especially since the door was half glass and could of had just a glass repair, not door and frame! Bravo to the idea of Junior Officers. WTG Lincoln!
@@dutchdaddygameri mean sure. If you are the home owner and give permission. Might be harder to find available locksmiths depending on location and date/time in smaller communities.
I, umm, I may have had to break into my own house when I'd closed the front door (never use it; didn't have the key) and the back screen/glass door was locked. DANG I tell you what, whoever manufactured that glass was bloody impressive! I ended up breaking the glass out of the frame, though I was smacking the glass with a small patio brick. LOL Officer Lincoln is a sweet kid.
What a wonderful program! Call a Jr. LEO! My teenage son used to unlock the neighbor's door with an old ID card. He said every time he did it he felt more like a criminal. She, of course was standing right there hoping he was successful. The first time he really didn't think it would work. It did. I had raised a son neighbors could trust. Responsible and mature. He had men of all ages as neighbors and they all respected him. His dad had been mostly absent but he had a grandpa who was an excellent role model of how a decent man behaves.
HAHA, the old credit card door unlocking device trick....done that a few times over the years....locked my keys in my office on occasion....had to be quick, and careful to not set off the alarm on the door and other motion and seismic alarms in the process LOL. At least your son had positive role models and community/neighborly support that's a major boost to raising good kids, having a community and neighbors that help them along the way makes a huge difference. My dad/step dad were both worthless, so I was lucky like your son to have an awesome grandfather, grandmother, and mother, plus aunts and uncles growing up that were very supportive and helpful.
My congrats to you and your dad for raising your boy right! The world could do with more thoroughly decent families like your's. The neighbours wouldn't have asked your son if they didn't trust him, and the fact that they did speaks volumes. Wishing you and your's all the very best 💖👍
NOW these are the stories WE ALL need to see!!! Angels come in MANY forms! Way to go Lincoln!! “And, a little child shall lead them!” #Indeed 👏🏾👏🏾❤️✨👏🏾
This just warms my heart. How lucky for all those who live in this neighborhood and town. You are the ones who make America great and your junior officers are outstanding.
I had to do this as a child for the elderly neighbor across the street. My mom brought it up the other day ironically. I was terrified that she wasn’t going to be alive when I entered so I’m so glad this situation was different.
I needed this story I’m not even from the same state. I’m from the north east New England area but I still loved hearing the story I needed this story we all need to hear a little good every now and then and you can’t get much more good than something like this, sometimes a simple good story like this even if it’s from another town in another state can change your whole perspective on how things are going in your own life end I need the story right now, so thank you thank you to your channel on RUclips thank you to this police department thank you to this young boy showing this 31-year-old in a totally different state in a three different region And showing them that knowing there’s this still hope for the future but there’s still hope for themselves even at 31
I agree, so many are so quick to bash on kids regardless of their age, mostly in my area its always the teens that everybody despises, and the problem is, there are very few that actually deserve it, most of them are great kids, just people don't understand how to really interact with them, and most people just don't even try, they just automatically start with the stereotyping of them and don't even know who the kid is, nor do they care to learn and interact with them. When I worked in a restaurant anytime we had a new person that was a teenager they were always sent to me for training. I had asked a couple of the managers why I was the one that had to train all the kids....their answer was simple.....because you are the only one in the store that knows how to interact with them, and teach them without judging them, or ridiculing them....they always said it was because I always had a way of working with kids and helping them even outside of work where they felt accepted, and they didn't feel pressured. Its all in how you treat people, and talk to people. I guess even though I'm 42 I've never forgot what it was like to be a kid, and how I was treated growing up, and vowed to never treat kids like I was treated, and can step back and listen to them and let them voice their concerns without getting mad at them and without being judgmental towards them. I also love helping kids and working with kids, heck it is oftentimes better and easier working with kids than it is adults....
Aw, great job, Lincoln! 🤩 Not only is this a great way to build community bonds and allow kids to help out, it also helps to recruit a truly excellent next generation of officers. They're not joining for a power trip or because they were bullied, they're joining because (as Lincoln said so cutely) they want "to help people". This police chief could teach others a LOT. Well played to him/her for this 👍
Hats 🎩 off for Officer Lincoln Dobson!!!👏👏👏 What a cutie and a brave young boy he is!!! I’m so proud of him and I know a lot of us hearing about what he did are mighty proud of him as well. Well done, Officer!!!👮♂️❤️❤️❤️
It's hilarious that they have kids they can call when they need someone who can fit into a small space, but honestly, it makes sense. Sometimes that really is exactly what you need, and if there's no danger, why not?
Used to crawl through our milk-chute back in the day when we got locked out accidentally. Back mid century, when milkmen still delivered & no one thought of doggie doors yet. 🥛
Our country needs a lot more young man like Officer Lincoln; thank you for your service!
There's actually is a lot more, it's just news media doesn't report it
Right on! Great job, buddy! 👍
What a remarkable young man! I'm quite sure that he has very proud parents as well!
They probably have the same education level of the kid too so it all works out.
A young man of honor, respect for the elderly and his community .... give him an internship now.👮♀😄
He’s a little too young to be on the payroll. There are child labor laws!
How old give him many crowns in heaven
@user-vm5ud4xw6n It was a joke, genius.

I'm just trying to understand here... You were locked out of your home as well? And you called police for it and then they broke down your door?
Calling the locksmith would be one option.

What a fine young man, and he has fine parents too!
You have "hit the nail on the head"
Yes, "fine parents"
This is where a child learns the difference between
Right from Wrong.
I'm so proud of this young man ❤❤❤❤❤
Way to go, Lincoln!
🫡 Junior Officer Dobson is good example! Thank you young man! 👍
