    As an Alaskan it’s hilarious hearing them mispronounce some the things “I didn’t know”
    Why would they put in the Ted Stevens trial which was totally politically driven and thrown out in mis-trial after his aponent Mark Begich narrowly won? They left out that Ted Stevens was killed in a plane crash later.

    • @tlewisAK
      @tlewisAK 5 лет назад

      Papa_ Xann : though I don’t disagree about Begich, Uncle Teds crash was just an unfortunate accident. I knew Sen Stevens, and his death was a sad day indeed for all Alaskans. He did more for this state than any other senator. Rest In Peace uncle Ted.

      Bears love the smell of bacon. It'll bring them in from miles away. When in the bush, we always store our food in a cache away from living quarters for that reason. Anyway, bacon for bait has been a practice among the poachers and trophy hunters for a long, long time.

I LOVED the Summers, the Northern Lights, The Fishing and other wildlife. I coached and competed. And one thing that was really NICE in the summer time is if I could not sleep I could go out for a quick 17 mile run and be able to see like it was 8-9 pm in the lower 48. IT WAS GREAT!!!
    And u get views there that u will never get anywhere else.

    Wife and I spent the last two weeks of September in Alaska. I’ve traveled almost all of the US and many places in the world and Alaska is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places in the world. You need to go there but take a bucket of money with you. It is expensive. And by the way, when the Russians were there the decimated the native population from out right violence and diseases. The older natives are now teaching their ancient ways to the youth to ensure their way of life doesn’t disappear.

      Sarah Palin showed the green light for the hunting of the wolves with the helicopters. The hunter shoots the wolf from the helicopter. That was something from what she lost my support and respect. Otherwise I'm kind of a Republican.

      that her daughter was a teenage mother was kind of a big pr shock for her, but you have to remember that having a child at the age of 16 or 17 is very common these days that you don't even pay attention to that anymore. It has lost its shock value and has became mainstream.

    Hey wait, you forgot about the Alaska State Bird; the mosquito! ;-) Been there twice, would love to go back. Most memorable moment; parachuted on to a wildfire 100 miles inside of the Article Circle at 1AM.

      I moved here in Sept. 1961 (as a baby) and been here most of the time. from 1 year old to 60 years old. Been to Washington, Oregon, SoCal, Colorado and Alaska is THE place to be. Only approx. 700,000 ppl in the entire state. I grew up in Anchorage and moved to Wasilla in '83. Anchorage was just too big for me. For everyone else Alaska is 2 and a half the size of Texas (which is the 2nd largest state)

    Stretches from the Aleutian Islands (which are the most western part of the State) in to the Eastern Hemisphere...makes it sound like a very small state...wow, you'd think you could use your "future billionaires" knowledge to write a decent script

    • @Harold710
      @Harold710 2 года назад

      Yes it stretches westerly across the International Date Line. Alaska is the most easterly and most westerly land/nation on earth. (I've been to Attu Island with a birding group)

    It is a real shame that so much of my state is locked up in National Parks. Land of no use. It has been a land grab by the federal government up here since we became a state. It is no coincidence that many of these Parks hold tremendous amounts of precious minerals. The Federal Government stole the mining land in Kantishna and in the Wrangles from the mine owners.

    • @zarasbazaar
      @zarasbazaar 4 года назад

      Good luck accessing any of that, even if it wasn't national lands. And the federal government didn't grab up the land. The state of Alaska turned the control of those lands over to the federal government since they knew they didn't have the resources to manage it all.
