I don't want to tell you you didn't do your research, but Iceland isn't planning to ban palm oil. You're confusing Iceland, the nation, with Iceland, the british supermarket retailer. The two are in no way connected to each other. It is the supermarket chain that plans to ban palm oil from its own brand products, and not the nation.

Just need to mention some tiny tiny things ...
- Blue lagoon is not a natural hot tub /spot ..
- northern light... yeah there’s a lot ..but you can’t see them clearly as the weather over here change all the time .
- skyr is not a yogurt but more like a heavy cheese ..
- please mention that the nature is really sensitive . Sounds like every tourists can go anywhere and camp where they want .. that’s not really true .

The video got me thinking about the high price of imported fruit and vegetables....Since geothermal & hydroelectric heat and power is abundant there,(one could also add wind & solar) I would think there would be more greenhouses/indoor hydroponic farming done there. Even here in USA & Canada, indoor growers of legal vegetables can make a decent living. I think a person could make a good living in Iceland selling greenhouse/indoor homegrown hydroponic vegetables to stores,restaurants and individuals.
where have you been hiding in a cave? you can see the northern light easily maybe its time to get your eyes checked if you cant see them

I'm happy to say that in October myself, wife and son are going to Iceland. For my wife and I it is our 4th visit but 1st time for our son. Yes Iceland is expensive going as a tourist but Iceland is a very fair society and the Icelanders are very happy to work hard for what they have. I would move to Iceland tomorrow if I won the lottery!

So basically there was a man called Leifur Heppni a Norwegian explorer who came to Iceland and named it Iceland and then found Greenland and called it Greenland to troll people so they would rather move to Greenland then to Iceland so he could have for for him self in Iceland :D

I just spent a few weeks in Iceland, I can tell you for a fact that they are not “waiting with open arms” for immigrants.
There is a quota in iceland i think around 50. And also when they showed the people with Immigrants are welcome there was an old man holding a sign that almost says "Icelandic Nationalism" And they protest immigrants. Fun fact.

but icelanders, with their hearts in the right place, they do have enough room to many refugees, they are not taking into consideration the abundance of them will dampen their own culture. They dont assimilate well, they wont adopt icelandic culture as much as icelanders do. they will find that gorgeous church offense to their culture. Germany has that problem now, as does Sweden.
time will tell on this.. but if history teaches us anything, it normally does.. iceland isn't going to see any difference on the abundance of refugees probably not adopting their culture, and many other parts of the world

As an Icelander, I just HAD to try to get used to it when I was young. I tried and failed. Later, I tried again with the aid of quite a lot of Brennivín (a local schnapps) and again I failed miserably. The last try was with A LOT of Brennivín, and when even that failed, I simply gave up...

This place is amazing to visit highly recommend the blue lagoon and the black sand beach. For anybody planning to visit keep in mind there is only one laundrymat in ryajavik centre and it ant cheep about 12-14 euros for a full load of washing.

The fish isn't rotten, It's raw. To different things.
They are different things and hakarl isn't just raw, it is fermented until it gives off an ammonia smell, i.e. rotten.

They do not eat fermented shark. ANY ICELANDIC can tell you they do not eat that. They used to hundreds of years ago but they do not anymore.
