This song makes me think about my mom. She was so giving. Never asked for anything in return. She entered into her eternal home on July 7th. Love and miss you everyday, mom.
My tears fall hard this moment... for you see, my brother Paul, Vietnam Veteran in the worst area for two years... He suffers greatly even today... He even went 'out of it' one time while I was visiting him, took a gun, cocked this gun and put into my temple and told me 'what are you going to do if I blow your brains out'... I was shaking but GOD gave me the words 'I looked straight at him in his eyes (He was gone inside), and I said no matter what happens this moment Paul, I will LOVE you and I will continue to LOVE YOU on the other side as I already forgive you, and I want you to hear and remember my last words to you - I LOVE YOU'... He then lifted this gun and said to me 'Get out of here now'... I had been praying that GOD would place a co-worker alongside of my brother who knew the Lord and could talk to Paul. My husband Mark and I prayed for him for 13 years and then in 1991 Ray Boltz had a concert in our area (Peoria) and this same coworker took Paul to this concert. Late that night, Paul called me, never having ever called me my entire lifetime. Paul was crying, and he said 'Jane, I finally did it, I finally did it, I accepted Jesus tonight at the altar'... He then kept saying over and over and over 'I feel free'... Ray Boltz had sung the song 'Thank you Lord for giving to the Lord'... and Paul shared the moment that Ray Boltz sang this song and he heard the words - He (Paul) busted inside, running to the altar to receive JESUS'... He (Paul) then kept saying to me 'Thank you Jane for never giving up on me'... That was May 1991. January 1991 the Lord spoke to my heart to visit my family (We resided in New Mexico and they in Illinois) and to purchase an early airline ticket for May 1991. I obeyed. The very next day I was flying home to visit family. GOD knew. Paul today is a completely different man. Yes, he still suffers with Vietnam War but today he connected to a beautiful church where the Pastor has been there for Paul these years. Today, Paul and I have a friendship that is solid. I am so blessed and thankful for God's MERCY that is NEW every new today. This is what Ray Boltz songs that are GOD anointed have done for me.
"Thank You" I dreamed I went to heaven And you were there with me We walked upon the streets of gold Beside the crystal sea We heard the angels singing Then someone called your name You turned and saw this young man And he was smiling as he came And he said friend you may not know me now And then he said but wait You used to teach my Sunday School When I was only eight And every week you would say a prayer Before the class would start And one day when you said that prayer I asked Jesus in my heart Thank you for giving to the Lord I am a life that was changed Thank you for giving to the Lord I am so glad you gave Then another man stood before you And said remember the time A missionary came to your church And his pictures made you cry You didn't have much money But you gave it anyway Jesus took the gift you gave And that's why I'm here today Thank you for giving to the Lord I am a life that was changed Thank you for giving to the Lord I am so glad you gave One by one they came Far as the eyes could see Each life somehow touched By your generosity Little things that you had done Sacrifices made Unnoticed on the earth In heaven now proclaimed And I know that up in heaven You're not supposed to cry But I am almost sure There were tears in your eyes As Jesus took your hand And you stood before the Lord He said, my child look around you For great is your reward Thank you for giving to the Lord I am a life that was changed Thank you for giving to the Lord I am so glad you gave I am so glad you gave
This song brings back memories of working with the youth of our church and the opportunities to take them on short term mission trips in the '90's... our church Community financially supported (thru fundraisers and private donations - our demographics were such that the majority of our young people could not afford to pay on their own) the many annual trips to multiple locations around the world to build churches, school buildings, etc. Each year we'd return with changed teenagers - and this is the song we'd use for the report to the church showing our slide show of their sons and daughters working for the Lord. We don't know yet what the "Harvest" will be, who will walk up to us to tell us thank you for supporting them... God Bless
I was first introduced to this song, "Thank You" on Christmas of 1994. I was attending a small Christian University out of State. My first internship while I was in class was working under State and Federal Chief Prosecutor's Office. What an awsome journey of faithful fellowship of Korean Campus Crusade for Christ our walk together had been for last eighteen years, and twenty eight years for this beautiful and grand walk this Nation have had to continue relentless work toward adopting two States; Puerto Rico Puerto Rico San Juan San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, Greenland Greenland Nuuk Nuuk, Greenland 🇬🇱.
This song has been in my life an a favorite for over 22 Years. An a Happy Place for me.My daughter at a very young age sang this at her stepfather's service. An I was so blessed that day.Love is always with us all God Bless

Heart touching song , one day we will be with our heavenly Father in heaven city 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
"Thank You"
I dreamed I went to heaven
And you were there with me
We walked upon the streets of gold
Beside the crystal sea
We heard the angels singing
Then someone called your name
You turned and saw this young man
And he was smiling as he came
And he said friend you may not know me now
And then he said but wait
You used to teach my Sunday School
When I was only eight
And every week you would say a prayer
Before the class would start
And one day when you said that prayer
I asked Jesus in my heart
Thank you for giving to the Lord
I am a life that was changed
Thank you for giving to the Lord
I am so glad you gave
Then another man stood before you
And said remember the time
A missionary came to your church
And his pictures made you cry
You didn't have much money
But you gave it anyway
Jesus took the gift you gave
And that's why I'm here today
Thank you for giving to the Lord
I am a life that was changed
Thank you for giving to the Lord
I am so glad you gave
One by one they came
Far as the eyes could see
Each life somehow touched
By your generosity
Little things that you had done
Sacrifices made
Unnoticed on the earth
In heaven now proclaimed
And I know that up in heaven
You're not supposed to cry
But I am almost sure
There were tears in your eyes
As Jesus took your hand
And you stood before the Lord
He said, my child look around you
For great is your reward
Thank you for giving to the Lord
I am a life that was changed
Thank you for giving to the Lord
I am so glad you gave
I am so glad you gave
