Bayina, what a great find! The finisher did a great job. Just my opinion, if the piece were any whiter, it would fade into the wall /look a little flat. I think the color is fabulous and I know after you style it, it will look amazing.

I feel like the touch of Gray plays well & a starker white would prob only cheapen the piece too an ikea level (IMO). Also, shout out the Latinx mover men getting their hustle on! 💪
On camera the colour looks *perfect*. Completely blends into the wall. It is definitely a high-end, quality piece.

Oh man, being a control freak, I would have been so freakin stressed between the paint color and the moving people, but after exhaling, the final product is absolutely gorgeous and worth every grey hair, lol. Now have a glass of wine, sit back and enjoy that beautiful piece of furniture.🌿

Great find! Looks awesome with the lacquer finish. You got a great deal all ‘round on the piece. Probably lighting over in that area will help eliminate the “grey” you see as it didn’t look grey when it was first brought in. I was a graphic designer for many years and can be picky about colours and how things line up etc. so I understand your concern but it does look awesome! Looking forward to seeing it all come together.

That piece is exquisite. Growing up, we had an original Charles Eames custom coffee table. It was round with teak legs and a white lacquered top. It was so durable that it lasted for years! Quality is worth the investment. You got a bargain, for sure. Once it cures it will last a long time. Btw, my mom sold that coffee table to a young designer like you.

It is fabulous and elegant, and the color is thankfully more complex than a pure white. It will look slightly different throughout the day as the light shifts, but the great lines will stay the same and they engage so well with the sofa. A success in terms of price and looks!

It looks great! Not too gray, I love the color. Great piece. We all freak when we have to trust a tradesmen/contractor, but sometimes you have to just take that leap of faith, and this time, it worked beautifully. I am so jealous you have a Trader Joes! We don't have one in Savannah.

My gosh....that piece is stunning!! What was the result of the shelf? All good? My heart stopped for a moment when I saw the shelf tipped up and back. I love the colour and that gloss....perfection!
He did a great job. I use bright warm white at home. All the walls will be white soon. BEHR “Decorator White” is bright but NOT cold.
I used Town and Country movers a few years go and they did a great job. No damage at all. They were recommended by someone at work who can afford whatever they want.
Wow! It’s very fitting for the space. Also, it’s good that it is a twinge grey, because you wouldn’t want it to blend into the wall behind. This way it is visible. Love the shine!

I think the color looks great. Keep in mind with natural light it will look slightly different at different times of day & once it is cured you can put a lamp with a warm bulb on it.

I love the piece to start with so you already won me over with that. If it has a touch of grey, oh well, but to me, it is just another angle of the light which you always get in a room. It looks fine. So fun to watch a designer make their own space, which I sometimes wonder if it is harder because designers appreciate so many styles. Can't wait for the next layer.

i have also seen that you had some inspiration from lumikello in your storys... she does colours absolutly stunning and has a great mix of yellows and blues (she painted a blue ceeiling) . she is also a real drapery expert. if you havent seen her mustard draped room, take a look. she has also stunning art pieces and inspiration in her blog...

Lovely piece that screams minimalism. I recently splurged on a wicker chaise lounge since I've wanted one since HS. Got it at auction for $8, shipped it from VA to NOLA via freight. It got here in one piece and was less than $1K to pack and ship it. New ones are $2-3K and with a 1920s home wouldn't fit. It was totally worth it. Go Vintage!
