So essentially the company is most likely a front to whatever shady things the military is doing in general. They are also not just a weapons manufacturer but also an intelligence agency too because they gather all the intelligence of kaiju and know everything of every officer and the deployment of their tech, etc. Izumo is basically a part of the military-industrial complex.

Many of the people who research potential cures for cancer and actually treat patients would honestly love to see the disease cured and eradicated, but the insurance companies and healthcare conglomerates would rue the day because it would gouge their profits big time.
Kaiju no.8 has the potential to become one of the best new gen shonen based on it's world building alone... Like there's sooooo much potential, there's a LOT of things we still don't know... The origin of kaijus, how people in history have been fighting them, how JAKDF formed, the whole Izumo tech thing, how can they make weapons using kaiju body parts, the two ancient people who looked like Gen & Soshiro's ancestors which no.9 absorbed, the whole origin of no.8, his reason for choosing Kafka like literally everything... Also no.9 saying he doesn't even know he can stop now to Mina makes us question that is there someone else pulling the strings or it's just that his thirst for knowledge is unquenchable that's why he said this... And the reason we still don't know anything about Haruichi and Aoi maybe because their arc is connected to this whole JAKDF-Izumo tech thing which could further ties to the history of kaijus... Like literally Matsumoto sensei can pull an AOT if he wants to😂😂😂 but let's just see how all the things unfold...
DEADASS!!! There’s so many unfinished and unexplored story lines in KN8. I think that’s what gets me so excited for this series to keep going. KN9 has been an amazing main villain so far, but things could get WAYYYY deeper than just a strong Kaiju coming to attack us. I’m so curious how Matsumoto will keep progressing things once this war arc is over. But I have full faith in his pen✍️ literally the only thing that could make this series better is if it started dropping weekly instead of bi weekly😂🔥
Fully agree bro. To add on, Kafka is becoming more Kaiju like overtime, and the more humans that KN9 absorbs, the more human like overtime. They’re polar opposites of each other. The duality of them is so dope.
The most interesting aspect is how they are both holding themselves back. 9 has the mind of a human but does not understand what it means to be human and only uses for his plans and his curiosity. Kafka has a kaiju body but acts like a human and only uses the body and abilities of his kaiju form, literally this whole fight Kafka has been fighting as a human with superhuman power never really utilizing his kaiju power to the max. The winner is probably the one who embraces their other side first.

Wow dawg. I literally never considered this at all. But you could really be onto something. Especially considering that Aoi could’ve joined a special forces if he wanted. But he chose to come into the 3rd division. Maybe it wasn’t by choice and like you said…. Maybe it’s a mission of sorts?🤔
@@DoffyDaze I think it’s an espionage mission. The military is skeptical of the KDF and Izumo Tech. Their POV is like yours. These orgs know too much while the public is left at the mercy of their chosen information bombs to keep them at bay. I think Haruichi is the conflicted one. Heir to the largest weapons development organization in the verse, seems more easy going and competitive in nature while his father is probably the cold tyrant that is having his son forcefully join and as their ambassador to convey information back to them. But he’s rebelling in his mission by cherry picking information to pass along. With both characters mirroring each other. Aoi coming from nothing and being dutiful while Haruichi is the silver spoon child that is loyal to his own. They will have idealistic/actual physical clash in the future. At some point, there will be internal conflict from all factions of humans against the Kaiju, once more information behind the curtains are forcefully opened.
If this theory is true then imagine the latest anime scene between them... Haruichi scared of Aoi finding out something but what if it's literally Aoi's job to do so...

ALWAYS been a question for me too bro. I think the Samurai guy was for sure a previous user of Kaiju No 8. My biggest argument??? Kaiju No 4 showed Kikoru the core memories of her mother using the Kaiju No 4 suit. I think the Samurai warrior was Kaiju No 8 showing Kafka the core memories it had from the last person that used Kaiju No 8.
