Okay, I like your idea that the giant body is not KN9's 'main' body, and I raise you, that KN9 does not have a 'main' body that uses a vast network underground. Kaiju No. 9 *IS* the vast network underground. KN9 is pretty clearly based of a fungus. Possibly like one of the cordycepts type. A fungus that IRL takes over ant bodies by filling the ant body with tendrils that are exactly the same shape as the ones used by KN9 to control the ant kaiju. Now, we think of mushrooms as fungus, but they are only one small, temporary part of the fungus. The fungus is the vast network of microrhyzial fibers that run uder the surface of everywhere. If KN9 is this fungal type then it doesn't matter how many cores you bust open, he can just grow a new one, because he is not a body with a network, he is a network that can generate bodies!
So under this proposal hypothetically KN9 could be the source of all Kaiju itself, or at the very least any Kaiju that doesn’t come from one of the faults that we know some emerge from. I’d like to add that regardless it seems he has a knack for editing Kaiju to some degree.

How are Kaiju living when they’re not invading? But you’re so right, if the ants weren’t attacking before, then they were just living in “Kaiju harmony.” It would almost make sense that KN9 is a corruptor of sorts. Especially when I think back to KN8 v KN9 for the first time. KN9 had such control over the mushrooms corpses, that he used the corpses to make a wall. I’m now wondering if one of KN9’s abilities is actually the ability to control the nerves and muscle fibers of certain level Kaiju? It would explain being able to control the ants, and also why the Kaiju corpses were moving next to Kafka, while Reno was fighting KN9 in the first mission.
Continuing from my last comment. I for sure think that this an ability of KN9. Because KN9 gave this same ability to KN10. That’s why KN10 could control the Wyvern Kaiju. Hoshina even said that Wyvern are independent Kaiju and never attack together.
@@DoffyDaze something similar to a degree to what the defense force does with the Izumo tech suits. Also this just occurred to me what if KN9 is manufactured himself. He seemed to have a vast amount of knowledge about the defense force even before he absorbed Isao. Maybe he was created in a lab that was studying Kaiju at some point.

This idea reminds me of a scene from a movie I can't remember the name of. Just a bunch of eggs hanging from the "ceiling" of underground waiting to activate. Maybe it was a Rick & Morty thing.

Question, how do we know that KN9 resercted the yoju that attacked the little girl and her mom was the one that was killed after attcking Kafka and was then reserected, and not just another of the same kind?

Well I concur that their is likely something happening underground the only amendment I’d make is that the you we see Kafka defeat after becoming Kaiju no8 for the first time is stated to be a different yoju. At least I’m fairly certain it is, cause of the time difference between the emergences. I could be wrong though. As for the theory proper I think it’s likely that there is either the community down their or some kind of group of Kaiju that no 9 works for maybe even they’re other Kaiju that originate from similar origins to Kafka and number 8. You know Kafka seemingly being a reborn Kaiju warrior from the time of samurai’s and all that.
