Everyone I knew just played this game for the easy platinum trophy and then immediately got rid of it.
Yeah all you had to do was beat the game on hard, all the other trophies were Gold for just beating each mission.
@@johnmoore1495 There's only like, 12 achievements (or trophies) for playing this "game". Seriously, it took until Resistance to have a decent Terminator tie-in game and none of it about playing as a tanky RoboCop-esque soldier.

Man I remember X-Play doing an ENTIRE episode trying to hype this game, interviewing ppl and then the next episode they basically crapped all over this game.

For pre-teens in the early 2010s this game was a Gears of War stand in if your parents didn’t let you buy M rated games.
I still have this game, i completed once, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.
The whole flanking thing in the game is supposed to be from cover to cover, the tutorial doesn't really explain the mechanics well.

My dog died at the end of Jan this year (She was 12), it sucks but it gets easier with time, your just appreciate your friends / neighbours pets a lot more after.

I remember renting this from Blockbuster as a kid as this was one of the earliest games to receive trophy support on PS3, and you could get the platinum in one playthrough, apparently a lot of people did the same from what I remember. Pretty much all this game was worth for
To be fair to the game, the early Skynet robots were pretty low tech... It's only when we get to the late in-universe 2020s and 2030s during the later stages of the war, that Skynet started developing much tougher armor and harder hitting weapons.
Which is why during many other games, including the rather okay, if not outright good Terminator Resistance, the resistance and especially Tec-Com started capturing and developing their own plasma weapons to combat the new and tougher armor...
So they started very low tech, and gradually went into plasma weapons developed by Skynet, and eventually captured and copied by the resistance in a constant arms race. The first REALLY hard to kill Terminator that required this shift was the T-700 series, after Skynet ironed out the bugs and weakness of the older T series hardware.
Never understood the entire timeline, why didn't Skynet just gas the entire planet, would that have been too easy?
@@fritzthedog007 As far as i remember, it has come up in some of the extended media a few times...
Most biological agents were destroyed in the nuclear war and following decades of exposure to the elements, and Skynet does use chemical attacks frequently, but just like with any other weapon, chemical agents are fragile, limited in range, and easy prey for the resistance, who also worked tirelessly to gather intel on what Skynet was doing, and they often succeded in sabotaging those experiments.
So Skynet kinda concluded that pumping out an army of metal with weapons was more efficient in the end, but thanks to Connor, they were able to find flaws in those as well, and Skynet ran out of new options by the time the resistance destroyed it and won the war.
The 700s weren't that tough. I remember after Reese had blasted the T-800 through the window of Tech Noir with his Shotgun he thought that would have been enough to take out a T-700. He wasn't sure he was facing a T-800 until he realized it was taken out by that..
@@roguerifter9724 The 700s were pretty tough, and the 750 model was even more so, at least by 1984 standards...
Reese knew from the start that his weapons would at most slow it down, but his main priority was finding Sarah in the first place, and avoid the terminator until they might be able to stop it
@@skynet0912 Again Reese thought a few Shotgun blasts and getting knocked through the club window could kill a T-700. That even being a reasonable possibility indicates the leap in toughness between the T-700s and T-800s, and logically the T-600s, the primary Terminator model in the Salvation movie and the most advanced one to appear in the game (The game story is a prequel to the movie) would be easier to kill with conventional weapons.
Edit: Slight mistake on my part Reese didn't think the shotgun blasts and going through the window would be enough to kill a T-700. Instead he thought the shotgun hits he scored before the Terminator got up with the Uzi could be enough to kill a T-700. If that killing a T-700 is even remotely feasible, and I see no reason to believe Reese didn't have a good idea what it took to kill a T-700, then a T-600 should be easier to kill. Which fits both the Salvation movie and the game where pre-Judgment Day Assault Rifles are seen being used to take out T-600s

A game which is heavily flawed, yet one that I grew up with. I'm almost ungodly good at it in spite of its repetition and jank. I also have an odd soft spot for it.

This game is a prequel to the movie. Command still exists, Connor meets Barnes and Barnes loses his brother. In the movie, Barnes shot at captured Marcus saying, “for my brother” or some shit.

I remember playing the Terminator Salvation arcade game at the now closed Namco Funscape here in London.
Me and my brother had to get a refund. It was running at like 5fps, not even joking. And we obviously lost in 3 seconds. We got extra tokens luckily. I feel they knew it was shit. And mins later we saw it off. Clearly it was too shit snd caused issues and complaints.
Same. The local bowling alley where I live used to have one. Played it back in 2016 and 2018.

Terminator 3 game wasn't good, Terminator 3 The Redemption was a bit better, Terminator Dawn of Fate was average, and the most recent game, Terminator Resistance wasn't well-reviewed but fans seemed to like it the most, so there's a bunch you could have fun with 😂

I got this game for my birthday from my uncle I was a big Terminator fan it was average for the time.
Had to Christian ‘Bail’ after 4 minutes because the players talk like a bunch of annoying teenage boys.

My... Turtle Beach gaming headset ran out of power mid battle.
I kinda liked this game back in my teenage years when it came out. But then I played PC version and I had weak computer for this game, or game was not optimized very well, and it lagged so badly that, in some moments it worked in 5 FPS. But later I figured out how to dig in to some ini files inside the game, turned off some filtering and stuff and it started to work better. Like from 5 FPS it boosted up to 30 just like that. And it looked, for that time, good. I mean, I even somehow managed to turn off brown filter.
Also, if you guys need some none movie licensed game, then try a game called Damnation. I have not played it in decades but I remember to like it back in the days.

My God, I love this game. It was one of my first teen rated games and truth be told I know it wasn’t the greatest game but I loved it for the apocalyptic environment. I think they did really well on that. It will always be nostalgic to me.

Terminator FutureShock and SkyNet were alright, from Bethesda. As was Bethesda's first Terminator game for DOS machines, it's a rough one but you can see what they were going for. Then they made Rampage, awful. Old school PC games so, maybe some fiddling to get them running.

Terminator 1 and 2 are classics. A lot of people didn't like T3 but personally I enjoyed it even if it was a step down from the first two. Terminator Salvation however is where I gave up on the franchise and I've never seen any of the films since. Considering that both Dark Fate and Genesis were poorly received however it seems I dodged a bullet. I did like the Terminator Resistance AA game that came out a few years ago however. Probably the best thing out of the series since t2.
Loved the Terminator Franchise, I like 1 through Salvation and have a Soft Spot for Genysis but Dark Fart was when the Franchise Died for me.

Fun Fact: Did you there was going to be a different ending in termiantor salvation movie the ending we got is the main character Macrus Sacrificed himself to receive Conor but we the alternative ending was Conor was going to die from his injury because conor was the inspiration to humanity and if they found out he died people loses faith in winning the war so Macrus agreed to be conor so that the resistance wouldn't lose hope he would have Wear a skin that looks like Conor
The lightgun game based on this film is better.
For several years I owned a Holographic 7/11 cup themed after this film. It was the sole thing I liked about the movie. A tie in *cup* .
I personally don't get the hate - I thought SALVATION was the best sequel after T2. I always wanted to see one that was more of the future war, and that's what this gave me, and I think Anton Yelchin did an excellent job evoking Michael Beihn, and even looked like him.
I guess when I imagined the war against the machines I pictured less cleavage and fewer hootin', hollerin' cowboys. They really tried inserting quippy MCU-type characters in the most god-forsaken, nuclear-apocalyptic future imaginable. It might work for Fallout but it's like video game writers only know one trick
