I am so pleased that I can now understand some of what Geri is Signing. Due to a lack of interest, our BSL course was delayed until this January & as we're term time only, we now have the summer holidays! Got to keep practicing somehow!
Hi! I'm referencing you in my MPhil (B) thesis, GirlPowerForever, just so you know! The project is on deaf and Deaf Signers' access to live music, so I felt this was relevant.
I have yet to find a video of her singing the whole song live. She did a bit of it on Parkinson live, but other than that she lipsynched it ALL the time
@@Mazikeen1809 it was 1999. All British (and a lot of US/Europop) acts lipsynced simply because the studios couldn't facilitate LIVE vocals/bands all the time, particularly TOTPs.
@@Irishgui83 I guess so. What amuses me more is when a performer who hates to lipsync is kinda forced to do it...they make it look so bad on purpose. Tina Turner did it on TOTP and Lady Gaga did it for a Muppet production thing with RuPaul. But let me tell you, despite how obvious it was she was miming, the Gaga stans refused to believe she was actually lip syncing
